  5. Hi Guys, Need a bit of advice for a friend I am helping with an Abbey case. In short; 1) Abbey awarded a goodwill gesture of £1453 back in Dec 06. 2) Court date has come, bundle sent off, etc. last week. 3) Today have received a settlement letter for the FULL amount. They have NOT taken off the goodwill gesture of £1453 already refunded. Now what do we do?! Option 1:: theres the right thing to do - be honest and tell them they are about to overpay by cheque - or - Option 2:: keep schtum and wait for the cheque to arrive and hope they don't ask for the money back sometime in the future. Any advice on what to do?! Thanks!! PrincessAphrodite x

  7. Hi, Thanks for your messages!! I haven't been around as much (works got really busy!) but have been checking in and seeing everyones progress. I have been spreading the love over at MoneySavingExpert and helping friends and neighbours with their cases lol! (My sister in Law has just successfully won back £3500 form Lloyds TSB!!) I still see not one case has made it to court though....xx Good luck in getting back your money everyone!
  8. After winning my charges back for my current account (out of court) I just sent two letters to them again asking for my credit card charges back. Usual letter but added a reminder that I had already successfully gone after and reclaimed my current account charges. I sent them 2 letters in 2 weeks and today without a word I have had the charges refunded onto my credit card account. Guess they know its a losing battle now! Woohoo, I feel empowered!
  9. I know that Kotum, don't let it put you off - they DON'T have a case so they are just wasting their time really lol. Just sit back and continue your life until they must give in.
  10. Don't be scared, they DON'T have a case to win - they are being ridiculous - even if it does make it to court - YOU WILL WIN HANDS DOWN-
  11. One week later - the settlement money has finally been received into my account (still were buggers right to the end!). Please remember people to request your terms of WHEN you want your money returned when going through settlement agreements, etc. The money was in my account last night - hooray! I won!!!!! and all of you can too. Any one is welcome to PM / Post if you need help or to air your worries. War on Bank Charges lol! PrincessAphrodite xxx (P.S. please do not ask me of the specifics of my particular settlement as I can't answer you - I'm sorry.)
  12. Settled in full and out of court. Charges + Costs + Interest. Unfortunately I cannot discuss the exact terms. Thank you to all of your support, help and interest and I truly hope others will continue to fight for the money that is rightfully theirs and see it through to the bitter end. Good luck and PM's are welcome as always! x
  13. Yes. But I have more than enough evidence to prove otherwise so looking forward to the opportunity of court.
  14. Hi Wolfie, No, nothing yet - just waiting for my court date!
