  1. Not sure if this is the correct place for this query, please re-direct me if not. I have a Vanquis credit card, and recently opted for "online only" statements, and have just received my first statement. The statement is the usual list of transactions in and out, but bizarrely, does not include anywhere the amount of interest charged. Although one can work it out from the opening balance, transaction and new balance, surely it has to be the case that they have to inform you of what they are charging you, and if not, can they enforce collection of it?
  2. Right, I've received an updated credit file from Equifax, and this definitely isn't a CCJ. Any advice on who to shop them to?
  3. Pretty sure, wasn't on a credit check I did last year. In any case, that would be a County Court matter, not a Magistrate's Court (criminal) one.
  4. I received a hand-delivered letter from Philips Collection Services Ltd about a debt to a credit card company. The debt should be statute barred as the last payment was in Jan 2004. At the top of the letter (which is titled Notice of Attendance) there are some boxes which have been filled in by hand, such as date, client name, ref no, etc. In the box marked 'Debt Type' is written "Magistrate Court". As this looks like a pathetic attempt to pass off a statute barred civil debt as some sort of criminal case, I wonder if there are grounds for them to be pursued for trying to obtain money by deception?
  5. I received a PCN for parking in a Loading Bay within a CPZ. The hours of the CPZ are 11am- Noon, and the Loading Bay sign had no times specified. Am I correct in thinking that the Loading Bay restriction is only in effect during the times that the CPZ is in operation?
  6. Thanks for that, but just to clarify. I had another debt that has a default date of 16 July 03 on the Experian report, but I have a note that I made a payment as part of an agreed repayment plan in Jan 04. When does the 6 year clock start ticking from, the default date or the last repayment date?
  7. I have an outstanding debt that dates from 2003, I receive letters every so often from different collection agencies but have not responded. My Experian report says that the default was on 30th Sept 2003. Does that mean if I don't do anything till October this year, the debt is unenforceable?
