Hi Does anyone know if you can claim back the new £12 charges they have now started, as I read that the OFT have suggested they cut their charges to £12, and I have been charged a £12 late payment fee? Many Thanks susannah
  2. Hi Yes i received a letter saying because i refused to accept their final offer of £952 (they owe me over £3000) they cant assist me any further, i put in a money claim on wednesday. so will wait to hear what happens, i did actually send them a letter saying i would accept it as part-payment and that i will still be claiming for a full refund. susannah
  3. Hi Thanks for your reply i will ring them tomorrow. susannah
  4. Hi I have put in my moneyclaim today, but I forgot to put my bank account number!! does anyone think this will harm my case as they have got my name and address? Thanks Susannah:)

  6. Hi I sent the LBA on friday 16th june and also sent a letter this tuesday telling them that i can accept their offer only as a part-payment and that i am continuing with my claim and will be putting in a court claim on 4th july and that they will be liable for my costs and 8% interest on top which is rising daily until final settlement and that i want payment my personel cheque. I am now wondering if i will hear from them next week, but i think they will ignore me until i put in my claim. I am also going to make a claim on my other account with them, just waiting for one set of statements which they missed! susannah:-)
  7. Hi I would write and phone them to say that you are declining this offer and would like the full amount, then if it has been 14 days since the first letter(might be 14 working days) send out the LBA letter. But have a look around this forum first just to double check the above procedure. I have sent of my LBA letter they rang and offered me £928 on friday, this morning i received a standard letter telling me that they have offered me 6 months worth of charges that i refused and that if i am still unhappy to contact the financial ombudsman service with a enclosed leaflet, but i am just going ignore this and carry on with my timetable. Good luck susannah
  8. HI The halifax offered me £928 which i refused, and this morning i received a letter saying as a goodwill gesture they offered me six months worth of charges and they have suggested I contact the financial ombudsman service. Does anyone know if i should ignore this(i sent the LBA on 16.6.2006)or do I need to contact them to tell them that i think going through the court is the proper procedure. Many thanks for anyones opionion on this. susannah
  9. Hi I to sent of my LBA, but I also received a call from them offering me a final settlement of £928 and that they are going to send me it in writing so that I can accept or decline, I am going to decline, I didn't tell her that I have sent of the LBA so I am expecting them to get funny with me now. So I hoping by next week to get another call from them only problem is I am always out at work so I guess they will have to do it by letter. susannah:)
  10. Hi I have been reading your threads with interest. This morning I was offered a final settlement of £928,(they owe me £3583)she said she would send me a letter so i can sign it to either accept or decline, and then asked what settlement i was looking for i told her at least £3000, I have sent the LBA this morning as their 14 days was up from when the prel letter was sent but i didn't mention this to her. In one of the letters you received from the halifax they said they wanted a breakdown of the charges did you send a copy of your spreadsheet to her? Thanks susannah:-)
  11. Hi I to have received the standard letter this morning, i am going to stick to the 14 days starting from the day after i posted the prel letter which will be the 1st june so on the 15th june i am send the lba letter to them, unless someone else on this site knows any better in this situation. susannah
  12. Hi I have sent out the prel letter to the branch were opened I my account, but have heard nothing as yet(they have until the 15th june) Do I send the LBA letter to the same address or is it best to send the LBA to customer relations or will this confuse them? many thanks susannah
