I hope so mate, we have a pretty good relationship. Our boiler broke down and she was going away so asked me to fix it and just deduct from rent which I did and she was fine. I even took out Boiler Cover at a personal cost to myself every month just so it doesnt happen again, me, the wife and little 'un like to treat the place as our own as opposed to someone elses so I dont mind paying for stuff like that. We are good tenants, honest!

Hi All, Just looking for some advice! I have rented my 4 bedroom house for about 6 months now and never missed a payment, also, never had any problems with the landlady. If we ever have a problem she fixes it and is very pleasant. I am starting a new position with a rival company and due to this my firm wants me to leave immediately and accepted my resignation immediately as opposed to accepting 4 weeks notice (they didnt want me to continue to have access to the files I have, know they cant not pay me but I will deal with this too). Due to this, I am not due to start my new job for another month, which means I will be without a salary payment in September. I am going to pay this months rent tomorrow as usual, but next month I physically will not have it. What do you think she will say? I have dropped her an email to this effect asking if I can pay an additional £150 per month for 4 months to catch up the arrears. Is this a reasonable request? My wife, son and I are very happy where we are and do not want to leave, we have a 12 month lease automaticallt renewable every 12 months so dont want this to look bad. We have never had any problems before.
