  3. Once you have been given a final decision by customer ralations (head office) you can go ahead and put in your claim straight away. Any one else writing to customer relations should specifically ask for a final decision. Gaz
  4. Sorry folks for hurried posting last night, and lack of details. Tha final straw was when I went over my overdraft limit by by £3.50 for one day and was charged £20. I rang the branch and got no joy. Then I wrote a formal letter of complaint to the branch and they reimbursed me with £84 as "a gesture of goodwill". I then wrote to customer relations at head office and they endorsed the actions of my branch. Filled in Claim form at County Court. After receiving court papers, bank filled in an admission form and sent me a cheque for the full amount claimed including interest and court fee. I really enjoyed paying this into my account. Total amount I got back was £240, a small amount but very satisfying. Gaz
  5. I've got my charges back from my current account. Now, flushed with success I've just wrote to Yorkshire Bank Card Services asking them to repay the charges levied against my credit card account. Will keep you all informed. Gaz

  7. Yoy could try going to a site that registers web names like http://www.lcn.biz search for availability of www.musicandmovies.org then look up owners info. You might consider passing information on to the Economic Crime Unit of your local police force. Gaz
  8. Hope you enjoy your trip to Germany. Then cum back an give em Hell! Gaz
  9. Rob, if you do lose part of your claim because the bank has missed the DPA deadline you can take them to court for breaching the DPA and claim compensation for the part of the claim you have lost. Gaz P.S. you are also able to go to court and get the court to order compliance if the deadline has passed.
  10. You can claim for charges over the last 6 years. If you ask bank they will supply you with the charges they have applied over this period, there may be a charge of £10 for this information. Gaz
  11. Thankyou everyone for taking the trouble to reply, and thanks for pointing me at energy watch Lueeze I am about to contact them now. Many thanks Gazza K;-)
  12. I have recently had to contact both my gas supplier and my electricity supplier to stop them making unwarranted increases to my direct debit payments. Despite ending the year £85 in credit and gas prices going up by 24%, British Gas tried to increase my payments by 63%. I am interested if others have had the same problem. If this is a widespread practice it must mean utility companies are in receipt of billions of pounds worth of interest free loans from their customers. Please share your experiences here or e.mail me. Many thanks Gazza K
