  3. hi alison, like you i'm new to this and totally confused, and being with abbey seems to be a disadvantage. i've started a forum called 'abbey' and there is a few of us which are trying to figure it out as we go along, this forum group is excellent and with every body replying prompty and with accurate information i'm sure we will get our money back. thanks guys for help. I've had problems with abbey before so with past experience this won't be easy, one thing i did read is open another account with another bank as a back up and its been known that banks pay up on request that you close your account, just be on your guard. Keep intouch sandra
  4. Hi all, good ready from above, I'm even more determinded to get '******' Abbey. I've just recieved my years statements for one account, but had to send another £10 for another account. Don't fully understand the Data Protection act thingy, but printed and will be actioning alans microfiche letter today. Does this mean that even if I send these letters it could take them months to reply, what do i do after the 40 days, do i send a letter to remind them or just take the complaint further, thanks in advance for help.
