not sure where to start to be honest i took out a bank loan maybe 7 years ago certain probs came to ahead and i moved on loseing alot of info and paperwork any way 6 years down the line ive been getting letters asking for the debt to be paid (which im willing to do as long as i can pay by installments) the debt comes to 8922.89 which is alot more than it was when i stopped paying (which i cant remember ) any way what is the best way to get this sorted (the letter is saying i have 7 days till a doorstep collection do i ring them and see what thay say ? or send a letter thanks in advance

well im here because i have a problem with debt so im looking on some advice ive read afew threads but have got alittle confused with it all so i,ll start with why im here afew years back i took out a loan which i was paying .then my life changed abit and i moved lloyds werent very understanding so i walked away from it but as time has passed ive been caught up im willing to pay but i cant afford it all at once the letter is from scottcall saying thay will be calling within 7 days unless i contact them are these people understanding to how difficult it can be at times or are thay just what i expect and ask for the full amount or take your house hold belongings? thanks in advance
