Thanks guys for your help and advice I'll get my letter off to the bank this weekend. -
Can anyone tell me, I live in Scotland and was hammered with bank charges during the month of April 2003. Now last year (2007) in May I sent a letter to my bank asking for a list of charges etc, the letter I sent included the following statement: I enclose the statutory maximum fee of £10. You have 40 days in which to comply. Furthermore, if I discover that you have levied disproportionate penalties against me then I shall be reclaiming them and also reclaiming the enclosed £10 DPA disclosure fee. I received the list in May 2007 but have not sent the letter asking for a refund. I understand that in Scotland only the last 5 years can be reclaimed. However the fact that I have already received the charges list which include the above paragraph, can I still go ahead and reclaim or is it too late?
