  1. The company is saying that I signed a contract when I know that I didn't as I only met my employer on my interviw and then she went on holiday. I have written her a 'letter before action' asking for my payment and gave her 2 weeks to do this in. I also stated why I left which was unhelpful and hostile attitude of the supervisor who I worked with on my 2nd day who refused to train me on the till and consequently credited herself with my sales. My employer had programmed my workload in advance of her holiday and agreed work dates with me. When I arrived on my second day my dates had been altered by the supervisor programming me to work every Saturday and Sunday. Whilst I regard myself as amenable I feel it was unfair for another employee to reprogrammed my dates that my employer had agreed. I had made alternative arrangements for the days I was not due to work. The supervisor made the excuse that she was unable to converse with me as she was suffering with a cold however she experienced little problems talking to customers and the other member of staff on a social level.I also asked for my employer to please send me a copy of the contract she is saying I signed. I still haven't herad anything back and it's been 4 weeks.
  2. The company is not dening that I worked for them, just refusing to pay saying that I broke a contract which I never saw or signed.
  3. I am unable to prove that I worked those days and I never signed or saw a copy of a contract. What would the next step be?
  4. I was employed as a sales advisor/ visual merchandiser. It wouldn't have cost the employer anymore money to hire someone else at short notice. The money I am owed is £70. Do you think I would be able to get this money back? Thanks Miss Brookes.
  5. I started a new job in October 2007 but due to the way I was treated I was forced into leaving after only working 2 days. After numerous letters and telephone conversation asking for my pay which is rightfully mine. Nothing happened and no letters were sent back. I sent 'letter before action' by recorded delivery giving my employer 14 days to pay me. This has now been just over 14 days and I have still not heard anything. Has anyone else had this problem, what should I do next?
