  1. Thanks for reply No our service does not involve any call outs, there is no work related reason why it is best for emplyees to take a vehicle home
  2. Hi all Just a query of a work related issue. I work for a County council and have a gripe !! Now the dept I work for is split up into 5 teams in various parts of the county but we all come under the same service title. Each team has its own team leader and deputy leader. I have found out that several members of our service use works vehicles to commute to and from work , as far as I am aware the vehicles are not taken to their home but parked somewhere secure such as a council depot etc very near to their home. I have asked for this same perk and have come up with a very secure location to park the vehicle in fact it is the vehicle management companies premises that I am requesting to park it. I have been told I cannot do this and have been given a poor reason , which is what would happen if I was off sick , I find this excuse poor as at present I take the keys home anyway and I live 30 miles away and it is the only set of keys. My point is that the other employees have been given a very big perk in having free travel and in my case as I live 31 miles from work equates to something like £150.00 per month or £1800 per year. Can anyone give me advice as to what I can do now as I think this perk is a big one and should be open to all of us or indeed none of us ! Your help would be much appreciated
