Thanks everyone! I decided to send 2 letters (one for each debt) off to Blair, Oliver, Scott who wrote off the debt on behalf of Halifax (same company I know:rolleyes:) stating that I would like all adverse credit removed from my credit files within 21 days. I sent via Recorded delivery and have the cut off date in my diary for January 2009. Another thing. I have just gone onto my online banking with Halifax and they still showing that I owe all this money on there under them accounts:confused:....what should I do? I have sent an email to them but I dont think they will deal with this online and have stated the outcome and that I have been treated very badly by Halifax and bullying DCA's. Is there a letter I can send to request them to remove this as they have no written it off? Sorry to be a nuisance. HPx

Thanks everyone. I've been advised to contact the credit ref agencies. How do I do this? I havent had a copy of my files in AGES...how do I do that and should I? I am drafting a letter to send BLair, Oliver & Scott to ask them to remove any adverse credit. HPxx

Thanks PT I have just re-counted and I have nearly 49 letters from them. Some are complete lies and contradicting themselves, promises of this and that, replies to my 5 complaints etc etc. HPx

I will get my hubby to scan them and will post them up if you want? I really wouldnt know where to start about claiming costs etc. I am very grateful for the outcome. I have just looked and I have over 30 letters from them all threatning this and that and I myself have sent them around 15. It is disgusting how we have been treated though and I hope nobody else has to go through the same as I wouldnt wish that on my worst enemy. HPx

We had some pretty bad news last night, so this was much needed today. I am going to send a big bunch of flowers to my local CAB to say thanks. HP

I have this morning received 2 letters from Blair, Oliver & Scott. It states that they have taken my circumstances into consideration and have decided to write off both balances. They have wiped £17,586 off my Credit card and £1546 off my Overdraft. I am sat here in tears and I dont know what to say. Thank you everyone for your help and support through the last few months. I am going to frame these letters I think. HPXXX

Hello. Just to let you know that I have received a letter from Robinson, Way & Co Ltd after sending them a copy of the CAB letter that was sent to Halifax and they have told me that they acknowledge my recent communication and that after reviewing the my comments they havere turned the debt back to Halifax. They are no longer dealing with this debt and that I will have to deal with Halifax directly. Is this good? Hopefully they are realising that I am a genuine case and not trying to pull a fast one. What do you think? HPxx

Would it not be better if I sent by Special, then if it goes to court-would the judge be more favourable and it would be better proof? At least that way too, they have to sign for it. When I have sent RD before, they just dont accept it but do with a Special? I dont know what to do, but dont mind paying if you think its worth it. HPx

Hi BB Yes it has already been sent to them. It will go to HBOS and not BOS or Robinson Way though. Do you think I should copy and send them both a copy via Special Delivery...so they each have a copy? Do you really think its a good letter? I really hope so! Thanks

Hello Again I have this morning received a letter from my local CAB including a copy of a letter they have sent Halifax Money Management Liason Manager. Its fabulous and am just waiting for my husband to put on the computer so you can see what she has said. Will be put up soon. HPx

Thanks for the quick reply. This is for the Overdraft debt of around £1500. I am paying £1 nominal amount each month at the moment and want to continue with that. If I dont send it in, will they not keep harrassing me?

Hello Again I have just received my post which includes a form from Blair, Oliver & Scott which is an application for temporary repayment programme?? They are asking for income and expenditure which I have already sent them. I have to sign and send in proof of income etc-is this normal? I dont want to send in copies of my bank accounts or benefit letters. Should I just print it out again and attach to this form and send back?

Hello Again No I dont have any assets and I cancelled the insurance with Halifax a while ago now as I thought I would never need it...typical. I havent hear a peep from anyone since the last time I came on here, so we will see what the post brings this week. I have received 2 debt letters from Equidebt, both for around £167 but in my name with Dr as a title and the other is in my daughters name and she is still at school. They are both for NEXT accounts. I did have a Next account but closed it ages ago with a clear balance. What should I do as they are calling all the time and now the letters. I have drafted a CCA letter and explained that my daughter is a young teen so dont understand why she has been sent a bill/debt letter. Is that suitable? I have enclosed the £1.00 each nominal CCA fee. Thanks HP x

Babybear-I'm fine...please dont worry about me. I find out on Friday if I'm to have a major operation and my husband broke down last night. He wants to take my pain away and he cant but I dont know what to say to him. We've been together since we were 13. I dont want him to be stuck with all this if one day Im not here. I have also sent a letter to the CAB today explaining how I am still being harrassed to the lady who helped me last time. I have asked for her to contact both Robinson Way and BOS on my behalf stating again that I am terminally ill. Hope thats ok, but thought I should let her know how they have been treating me. HP

Hello Again! I have done 2 letters for Halifax to ask them to write off both debts (totallng around 19k) I have included a letter from my GP stating my health will not improve and that I require full-time care etc etc and a copy of my Income & Expenses. I have £1.35 a week available that they can have if they want it. Who should I send them too and to what address? Should I send it to the same person that replied to my complaint letter? I have also stated in the letter about the constant threating letters and calls and that I am forwarding a copy of this letter to my local MP....is that ok to do? HPx

That is really kind of you and if it goes to court then I may take you up on it. I am a natural worrier, but this is unfair. I have been away at friends last night and have had a great time. We came back and I had 5 missed calls from Equidebt...is this normal? They left a ref number but not sure if its to do with this debt. I am sure I have nothing else outstanding. It was a Phil and asked me to call them. On Monday and I am going to do a letter from Halifax and ask again for them to write off my debt and include confirmation of my illnesses. Thanks everyone.
