  1. Hi, thanks. I am in the process of drafting a letter, and am just awaiting the specialists written report. The company is just a local store, though according to their invoice they have 4 branches in all (all in the local area) but I have been told since that the store i purchased from is a franchise and so has nothing to do with the other stores.
  2. Hi, I recently bought a paid for a brand new leather suite (3+2) from a local store. The item was in stock in the store and I obviously checked it out, comfort, feel of the leather etc. The problem is that the item delivered to me is not this suite but a very poor and cheap imitiation of what i purchased. I have had a leather specialist look at it and he has confirmed that what was delivered is not leather but incredibly cheap (and poor quality, unlikely to last a couple of months normal wear) plastic. Also I was told the item chairs were 'pocket sprung' which they are not, they are just normal foam seat pads. The problem i have is that having contacted the shop I am being fobbed off with tales that the manager is on holiday and there is nothing can be done till he returns. I have an invoice for the suite stating that it has been paid in full, and the 'name' of the suite purchased, but unfortunately no mention of the word 'leather'. The only proof i have of being told it was leather is from two witnesses, one a friend who came with me on the day of purchase and the other my brother whom upon calling the shop to query whether the item was leather was told, 'it is 100% genuine leather'. There was a label attached to both suites stating they were pocket sprung which they are not, and also the name of the suite on the packaging does differ to that on the invoice, though I have been told by the company that this means nothing. Please help, as this is a lot of money to lose and I am very upset about this situation and just want to get it resolved asap. Thanks.
