  1. Thank you, I've read through all the threads re Halifax or bos and am struggling as to how to progress. Some people have had problems when sending court papers from England to Scotland. I know that the online service won't let me send to the Scottish address. I'll try pop down to the courts next week and get their response! Thanks again
  2. Hi, just a quick query, can anyone please tell me the address they have used to send court papers to the Halifax relating to credit cards. The card was taken out in 2001 and I have an unenforceable agreement. I am unsure if I can send it to the Scottish address?? Please can someone help?
  3. Hi, Firstly please accept my appology if this has been covered before, I have looked everywhere and cannot find it!!! We bought a second hand car in aug 06 on a 60mth hire purchase agreement from a main dealer. We have just been reading the docs and also got a setlement figure as we are looking to change and the mileage on the signed finance agreement doesn't match the mileage on the car when we bought it, this is also backed up as we have the mot from the garage done on the same day! The car had done 91,000 miles (it was bought and paid for unseen as we live 100 miles away from the garage and as it is a main agent we trusted them!!!) anyway, we bought it with 87,000 miles and when it arrived it had done 91,000! Thats not the issue though - on the finance agreement it states that the car had only done 79,000 miles, looking closer into this the finance company wont accept cars with over 80,000 so its pretty obvious the salesman has lied to the finance company to get it passed through finance. Just to add - we paid 500 deposit and the monthly payments are 200. Question - can we end the agreement now?? Are we entitled to anything back?? Whats our best thing to do? Thanks alot.
  4. Thanks for the advice. I've written to vodafone, csl and a regulator of vodafone (can't remember the name but its listed on their website under complaints) and i'll await the response. I have never avoided paying anything I owe, I currently pay around £120 per month with O2 on my business phones and have never had an issue. My father is still with vodafone and pays around £50 per month, we have never missed a payment between us. I just will not pay for something that I don't owe, its legalised robbery!
  5. Hi, Here is my story. About two years ago I wanted to take out a 3G mobile internet contract, I went along to my local vodafone store and they signed me up. When I got home I realised they had used my fathers name instead of mine (we both lived at the same address and we both had contracts with them) this was totally there fault and they didn't even check my proof of address etc i'd brought with me nor did they realise I was 30 and my fathers date of birth on their computer is 1938!!! Anyway, they also put me on the wrong tariff, my first bill was extortionate and I complained, it took several months but they realised the mistake and I was so furious I said I would pay the £220 to clear the debt they said was what I actually owed had I been put on the correct tariff and they would cancel the overcharge. It was also agreed as they messed up with the contract that I didn't wish to use the service anymore and it was verbally agreed that on paying my £220 that would be an end to the contract. I never used the service again. Now CSL are phoning my Father several times every day saying he owes money, he's getting the same letters as Beemerboy above and no one will understand its not him who took out the contract! CSL just reply with "we have been instructed to collect this money and that is what we will do" they wont talk or even listen to our side. Vodafone say that I owe the cancellation fee's which total around £300 (I think this is to take it to the end of the contract had it been correct in the first place) Please please please can someone help me as to what to do next, my father is getting very very stressed and its not anything to do with him! I have never avoided paying what I owe, as soon as vodafone told me to pay the £220 and they would right off the rest I paid immediately. Please how can i stop the calls and put an end to this???
