  1. I thought I was the only one with a current battle with ELS. Just about to submit the forms to make a claim against them. Is there any advice as to whether it is better to go through a solicitor? Also grateful for any advice. Thanks
  2. New to this thread but ongoing battle with ELS since June 2006. Initial dealings with them were good, purchased a dining table and chairs then realised it was too big. ELS changed it without any charge. The bought leather suite, long delays in delivery, then after only 6 weeks seats began to sag, similar to another customer one completely collapsed. Couple of visits from upholsterer with the offer to repair on site. After a battle, ELS agreed to replace the suite. Once again another delay before July 2007. New suite delivered. From the outset the suite has displayed the material joining the leather. We chose to ignore this and cover with cushions because we could not go through the hassle of complaining. However, now the stitching has begun to twist, thus distorting the leather and the material joining the leather has frayed and become threadbare. In their defense ELS have replied promptly to my complaints, I think even an acknowledgment is an improvement on last time, but I am now awaiting the manufactures upholsterer to contact me. They have a time frame of 48 hours. I will keep you posted but if anyone has any advice with regard to who these people might be and how well qualified they are I would be very interested. Happy to be part of any police investigation/TV or radio programme into this company
