I don't know if its illegal but it does go against the OFT debt collection guidelines, which state Examples of unfair practices are as follows using more than one debt collection business at the same time resulting in repetitive and/or frequent contact by different parties and not informing the debtor when their case has been passed on to a different debt collector. Hope this helps.
  2. Hi everybody I recently sent a CCA request to link, it was the beginning of April. Today i have recieved a letter from them threatening court action for non payment. Problem is when i sent the letter i never sent it recorded delivery, i did however send a cheque for £1.00 instead of a postal order and i included the cheque number in the letter. I have spoken to my bank this morning who are going to send a copy of the cheque to me and proof that it has been cashed. Is this proof of them having had the CCA request? If so do i write to them again explaining this to them or do i just leave it? As i don't really know what to do next. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  4. Hi everybody. Had a letter today from red collections for a debt they say i owe to t-mobile. Funny i have always had pay as you phones. I need to know before i respond are the rules the same for supposed mobile phone debts as all others, don't really know how to handle it any suggestions greatley appreaciated:confused: .
