  1. A quick update i have found a recent statement of account from eurodebt and i am horrified, seems that my mother has been dealing with them since around 2002 and paying between £60-70 a month. This what her last statement says, Creditor: B/Card Collector : Credit Security Ltd Balance £530.78 (this went default on her credit file 2004) Creditor: Black Horse Collector: Direct Legal & Collections Balance £602.43 (she has no idea how long it goes back) Creditor: Lloyds TSB Collector: BLS Collections Balance £6375.03 (Bank account that closed in 2001 all bank charges) Creditor: Welcome Finance Collector: Welcome Finance Balance: £1537.48 (Loan taken out before 2004) Creditor: London Scottish Collector: Rockwell Debt Recovery Balance : £203.67 (Loan not sure from when) Creditor: London Scottish Collector: Rockwell Debt Recovery Balance : £107.00 (Again loan from not sure what date) I'm going get a SAR off to them next week but i can not believe what she has been doing over the past 7-8 years. She currently pays £75.00 a month which £36.09 goes to creditors and £35.88 they take in management fees. I'm disgusted in this, she is worried that if she cancels the agreement that they will take her house or debt people will come after her I’ve told her not to worry we are in the right place now. Any ideas on what to do next???? Thanks once again
  2. Thanks dadofholly, She says that she gets a statement evey month off them so i will investigate further. but has anybody had dealing of eurobebt????? something all seems very odd my mother is nearly 60 now and she under the impression that this tsb one is nearly 8-10 years old i with a balance of a couple of thousand pounds. I will know more tomorrow. Thanks Edit : i had started typing before your second post.
  3. Hi i was just wondering if you kind people could give me some advice, I am trying to help my mother sort out her finances as she has got herself into a really bad spot and as you guys helped with Lowell a few years ago which worked out well for me. Right first thing to sort out is she is paying a company called Eurodebt 70 odd pound a month to pay some of her old debts. I'm not sure how old these debts are and who exactly eurodebt are actually paying. Can i tell them to sod off as they seem to be paying a debt from 2007 of £1400 at £5 P/M from what i can also work out is C/C from barclaycard which defaulted on Aug 08 which according to her credit file is still outstanding and has not been paid in 3 years she is under the impression that she has been paying eurodebt 35-40 a month for the past 3 years to pay this off but on her credit file she only owes £554 ???? She also thinks that she is paying off an some old bank charges from TSB going way over six years but its not on her credit report so who is she paying and why isn’t it on her credit report. I only found out this afternoon all of this so when i meet her the weekend i will get all her paperwork and find out the deal. Also she has just told me that eurodebt are holding £500 bond or something like that is that normal. Please help as I’m worried for her, Thank you in advance for any help given.

  7. Evening all, haven't been on here for awhile luckily the vultchers have stayed away, basically about 7-8 months ago i got a letter from Muckhall asking me to contact them about an urgent matter, yeah right. So i heard nothing for awhile then got another one saying contact them as regards to an outstanding cabot debt (which i know nothing about) again thought they just waiting for me to phone them so i filed it in the bin. Now today i have received a from Meritforce saying the following Pursuers : Cabot Financial (Europe) Ltd Original Creditor : HFC Client Reference : xxxxxxxx Principal Sum: £xxx.xx Authorised Collector Visit Due to the non-payment of the above debt to MacKenzie hall, we have now been instructed to collect this debt on their behalf. No more reminders will be sent. Your sincerely Morgan Smith Right my wife has seen the letter gone mad saying she doesn't want bailiffs coming around here giving us loads of grief, I said i know just the people to help us out. So any advise or letters to send would be great.
  8. Hello Peeps, Have recieved another letter from lowell saying that, unless you contact us immediatley and clear the arrears your arrangement with us will be terminated and we will have to look at alternative ways of recovery, one of which may lead to legal action. it also mentions Hampton's Legal a bit further on Here is a copy http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii153/llieno/2008-04-30-1608-55.jpg I have have sent the letter curly ben advised but it was only last week sometime around 21st this letter is dated the 23rd, Some advise please, Is this a scare tactic or genuine as i dont want to go to court. Many Thanks
  9. Thanks Curly, Does that also mean that the default that is is on my credit file should be removed as per The lack of a compliant credit agreement is a very clear dispute and as such the following applies. * may not demand any payment on the account, nor am I obliged to offer any payment to you. * may not add further interest or any charges to the account. * may not pass the account to a third party. * may not register any information in respect of the account with any credit reference agency. * may not issue a default notice related to the account. Is that right & if so how do i go about doing that.

  17. Hi there just a quick one that i think will be pretty easy for you guys to answer, I have sent Lowell a CCA letter recorded delivery on the 13th Feb have a copy of RM Signed Delivery Note. Its now been over 12 days but have heard nothing from them nor have they taken the £1.00 cheque sent with it. My problem is that i have a D/D to go out of my bank in a couple days do i cancel it or let it still go out. If i do cancel it i know the phone calls and the letters will come, Any advise please ?
  18. Hi there, have been reading this forum now for about 3-4 days now & my head feels like its about to go in to overdrive. Basically this is my situation, Lowell’s sent me a letter back in 2004 saying that they had brought my Barclays Account Debt and that I owed about £2500 (at this point I nearly pooed my pants as I had no idea that I owed that much) so thought nothing of it and presumed that was right so started paying off what I could. So after about 8-9 months I decided that I needed to sort out my credit file and asked about a settlement discount so paid off the debt in full (they gave me about 45% discount) then I receive a letter about a capital one card for about £500 so again started paying that off thinking nothing of it. Still owe about £400, and then found this site so I have sent off a CCA letter the other day & just going to see what happens. Is there anything I can do about the one I have paid? Just want to say THANKS in advance, you guys do something truly amazing in these forums given people advice when things seem to be at there worst. So keep up the good work and THANK YOU.
  19. Hi folks, I am need of some help please. Basically when I was younger (Stupid) i had a few credit agreements that i left while i went traveling not thinking anything of it, Now 5 years later i have found it to come back and kick me up the Bum. I have three CCJ's against me that i have only just found out about. Have read about the N224 form's & just wondered if i have a chance of getting the court to put aside? I have had a good history of credit for the past 3 years eg; Loan, Creditcard, Mortgage. Now all of a sudden i cant get credit because of CCJ's / Defaults (putting a massive strain on my marriage) I owe less than £500 in defaults, I am trying to stay calm but is all a bit much to take in. Any advice would be extremely grateful and appreciated
