hi there any help with this 1 would be excellent im asingle mum with 2 children the most recent born 25/9/07 i informed income support by telephone on the 12/10/07 that my daughter had been born they said to put it in writing which i did and posted anyway now claiming tax credit for both children and only started reciveing that end of jan so appealed for them to back date it but had phone call saying income support were paying for her for the period requested so take it up with them anyway so i rang them and they said i was getting money when i clearly wasnt told her to check again then after 20 ins she agreed i didnt recieve any money for her so she said i rang them 12/10/08 saying id given birth but they hadnt recieved the letter! and they can only back date payments to when the letter has been recieved im so angry n upset dont know what to do ive wrote another letter asking them to look into it but dont hold out much hope any help please ? how do they get away with this sort of thing.

Hi im posting this for my partner as he's not sure what to do now ill try to be as brief as possible although it's long winded and gone on for over 2 yrs now right here goes firstly he rents a 2 shops next to each other off a landlady but it is in two halves seperated by a wall with an archway) but has a small established business in the propertys he suffered a flood in 2006 which damaged one half of shop stock ,displays, carpet plaster etc. and was unusable for 6 mths + the insurance paid a stupid amount for stock but it had to be settled because just as all on that side was sorted around a year after the first flood there was another and they advised that they had to settle the first claim before dealing with the next so he settledthe first he then went through the second claim the loss adjuster came out as with the first claim only didnt ask for all the information so my partner recived pittence again but in the meantime the landlady had a surveyor out and found the problem was the neighbour refusing to turn of a stop cock (the property is a empty shop that was undergoing renovation but there has been no work in 12 mnths )this week he has suffered another flood but this time in the working half of shop (otherside) and this 1 was caused by the neighbour covering the overflow pipe on the roof with carrier bag and concrete rubble (we know they were on the roof 2 days before ! and its never flooded before ! ) weve tried complaining to council contacting water, even the police ! no one wants to know weve worked it out that the damage totals over 30k but who do we approach as the axa have closed the 2nd flood case without him knowing (i rang them 2day asking whats happening sorry its long winded but dont know what to do now its alot of money 2loose and hes got debts to pay any help would be excellent ! cheers

does it matter theyve already said theyll file for bankruptcy by the 8/2/08 or is that rubbish?

hello every1 im new here and would like to say hi before i moan as im new to this iv had a seriously disturbing letter (at my dads address he phoned me not very happily this morning as they left a awnserphone message saying they would be cold calling at the address within the next 2 weeks)from ruthbridge saying if i didn't contact them theyve hereby given notice that bankruptcy procedings are due to commence ! ive telephoned them and obviously they were extremely rude (im quite emotional due giving birth 4 months ago and having post natal depression so he said to ring back later as he was contacting the people i owe the money to apparently it was a credit card from years ago and the last payment id made was oct 2002 ive moved about 4 times since then but anyway im clueless what to do i was gonna say about the letter only contact and request the credit agreement thing for a pound but my dad is going mental as its his address anyway i ang back and spoke to mr tibbs a complete git wanting all my information including phone no. i said i was on a mates phone and he said to give methat no.after me saying no he got quite attitudey with me any help much appreciated dont no where to start and im supposed to ring them back today !they said i owe £1183.40 but if i pay by the 8th feb i only have to pay £887.55 ? please help
