i have also had one of these letters. or rather several letters from lowell and red debt collections services. i had read a load of messages from people that have had these letters. i spoke to lowell about it as i dont remember having this card that was supplied by barclaycard. they told me to call barclaycard about it, so i did, got straight through to an advisor, nasty man got really cross with me and lowell, told me that i should not have phoned barclaycard. told him that i had been told to, he went nuts on the phone about that. he let it slip that the card was supposed to be dated from 1991. spoke to lowell again asked me to send a copy of my signiture, didn't do that though. today i got another letter from red, offering me 50% off. told red i wanted a copy of the original agreement and also cpoies of all payments made to this account, i honestly cant remember having this card but if i did then it is likely to be statue is this correct????

hi, i have been reading loads of advice on my same problem with lowells. they contacted me and also red. saying i now owed them this debt from an old barclaycard, i was very confused as i was already paying one to them and had been doing so for a few years, when i phoned them they explained to me that it was a different one. i couldn't understand as i couldn't remember having one before. as they supplyed my with the card number i phoned barclaycard up to ask them about it, the phone put me straight through to an advisor. he was dead nasty to me telling me that i should not be calling him about it, so i told him that lowell had told me to call them to find about it, he went nuts about that. but he did let it slip that the card was supposed to be from 1991. i asked him if this was the case then why had they not written to me for 17 years to ask me to pay this off. he said it was because it was such a small amount, 2270.00 i dont think that is a small amount. i then called lowell up to tell them that i couldn't get any answers about it and that i had no recolection of having it, they asked me to send a copy of my signiture, dont panic i did not do this. what i was hoping was a bit of advise as to what to do about them and where do i get these templates of these letters everyone is talking about. if someone could give me a link and some step by step instructions on what way is best to deal with them i would be made up. sorry for such a long reply

hi, is it possible for you to give me the link for this letter template as this has just happened to me, only i cant remember having the card it was dated 16 years ago according to barclaycard and got quite nasty with me for phoning them about it and told me to discuss it with lowell. i have not admitted anything in fact i denied having it to lowell. they asked for a copy of my signiture, what should i do?? i have changed my name by marriage twice since then. any help and advice would be great. please. thanks wendy
