Thanks for your help. So do you think I should call them or just go ahead and get the V5 updated?

I hope you can help but I feel that I'm probably screwed. I bought a 2nd hand car for my wife about 6 weeks ago, she's a learner driver. I took out a fully comprehensive policy, her as the main driver and me as the secondary. Within two weeks she had an accident with a tree and we've been told that the car is now a write-off. The insurance company have offered a fair price 1st time but have asked for all the documents. The problem is that I forgot to send off the v5 document when I bought the car. If I send them off now will it matter or is the claim invalidated? Please help!!! Thanks Jon
