  1. :D Right everyone, since i posted my message on 30th December 2007, (see above), neither lowells nor T-mobile have sent any statements that i requested, or any correspondence whatsoever. They appear to be very amateurish hoodwinkers. Does the board think they could be brought to book, by demanding 'money with menaces'?:D .

To all people out there, don't despair when you've got great advice from the people on here.

Especially to Rory & ODC, cheers guys, you're real stars. I know i may still hear from them yet, but the confidence this site has instilled into me is fantastic.

  2. Hi all & Rory especially,

After sending lowells the letters from the templates you suggested, i received a letter from them, dated 24/12/2007 :-

    Dear Mr H*****,

Thank you for the statement request relating to account 9******* previously held with T-Mobile (UK) Limited and with an outstanding balance of £79.93.

We have requested copy statements from T-Mobile (UK) Limited which will be forwarded to you upon receipt. Please note payment in full or an acceptable payment planwill be required once the statement is received.

    Yours Sincerely,

What do i do now, just wait for these copies to arrive? I still dispute this balance because i'm sure i settled all my debts when i left Warwickshire in March 2005. Lowells say this debt goes back to 2002/03, so why didn't i get any letters at my previous address in Warwickshire, to this effect, before i left?

I'm so annoyed & the content of the letter(s) they send makes my blood boil.

All the best to everyone on here & happy new year

  3. Hello everyone, thank you all for reading this post.

Similar to the posts i've read, i received a letter last month dated 7th Nov 07, stating that i owed £79.93 from an account with T-mobile, the letter was from Lowells portfolio. I phoned them to find out what it was about & the call centre agent informed me that the debt was from 2002/03, with no specific date. At the time, i was living in Warwickshire & did have an account with T-mobile, then in March 2005 i moved to Lincolnshire & as far as i was concerned i settled all my bills/debts etc...

I'm disputing this claim purely for the above reason & the fact that why didn't i get any correspondence about the above claim between 2002/03 & 2005, when i left Warwickshire?

Anyway after wondering what to do, i received another letter dated 19th Nov, to the same effect & demanding that i enter into a payment agreement by 29th Nov 07, i didn't, then received a letter from Red Debt collection services stating that they was a) Going to make a home visit, or b) start legal proceedings to the County Court, whereby getting the court to enforce judgement by way of Attachment of Earnings or use bailiffs to remove goods.

At the present time i've written a letter disputing the claim & asking for a copy of the agreement under the Consumer Credit Act. I haven't sent this letter yet because i wanted to ask the views/advice of the members on here & templates of any other letters i may use instead.

To complicate matters a little, the letters that Lowells/Red Debt have sent to me were sent to my ex-girlfriends address & to say she is p***** off is putting it mildly. She's informed me that any more letters sent to me at her address will be binned. Similarly any home visiting person(s) will be told to in no uncertain terms where to go, informong myself to get it sorted. I've phoned Lowells/Red Debt to inform them that this is not my address, whether they heed my warning is up to them.

Thank you all in advance for any help/advice
