Crosslady, Please do not let these cowboys scare you. They aren't entitled to anything and they will only try and extract money from you by using bully boy tatics. I was in the same position as you some time back. I eventually wrote to them, and the debt recovery agency (yes, they'll be in touch next!!!), inviting them to take me to court. Guess what, heard nothing since and that was eight months ago.......you know what they say about bullies, stand up to them and they back off!

You know what, I really enjoyed my battle with CEL and Newlyn. After 8 months of firing off letters to each other (first CEL, then Newlyn), I wrote to them both telling them to take me to court as this was the only way to solve the dispute (a dispute I was enjoying if I'm honest). I sent the letters last August and have heard bo didly since! I'm just contemplating parking in the car park again just so I can enjoy the 'battle' all over again. I used to love it when I'd get in from work and there was a letter from one of them (you just know by the envelope don't you???!!) The withdrawal is killing me!!! LOL

Don't know what your chances are but why refer to them as sir/madam ?? Your first reference was quite adequate !!!!

Ms Scarlett There's some solicitor in Mansfield claiming to be able to help people recover previously paid fines (There's an article somewhere on the forum). Don't know how successful this would be or whether it would be worth doing. He'd just beaten a private car parking company in court and was properley touting for business outside!!! One of the experts will probably advise you further. Good Luck!

Ive just sent of my first template letter to these people. I am obviously now 'mentally' preparing to send my second letter. Can I just ask, how much emphasis do I put on asking for evidence to back up their claim? Am I right in thinking that if I make this request and it is ignored then that would work in my favour? Any other advice for content of the 2nd letter (Other than the templates) Thanks Guys

LOL !!!! Did anyone notice that Trespass had been spelt Tresspass??!! I'm not usually one for flaming people's spelling or grammer....I do find it funny though that someone posting with the intention of putting the 'frighteners' on us all makes his posts look so amateurish (Hope I spelt that right) !!

Hi everyone, my first post on here. My letter from these clowns dropped through the door yesterday. I parked at a Co-op (the car park isn't owned by them though ??) and have been 'fined' £90 or £45 if I'm a good little boy (Which I'm not). I am going to follow the advice on here and certainly am not going to lose any sleep over these idiots. Incidently, being a Nottingham person, I know exactly where these lovely people are based. I must say (probably not advisable I know) that I am half tempted to drive down to their little rented office and have a chat to them (In a professional manner of course!! ) Anyway, as for now I have much more important things to worry about.....like Forest getting promoted !!
