Thanks for this. As I am at the, conditional offer stage, can I still ask for photographic evidence or an operators statement of exactly where in the 50 zone i was when zapped? Also, forgive me but where can I read up on the 'statutory instrument'? Also, dw, I'm not sure I follow your last post. I think I understand what you are getting at though.

Again, read my last message, unfortunately, your advice came days later.
-
Actually, that's not true. I was advised to get email confirmation from them whilst talking over the phone, which I did. All other replies came several days after this.
-
Damn, I had called them on the 15th to chase up again and I received the conditional offer today, dated 17th February.
-
Off the top of my head, the offence was 19th sep and the last nip was 10th feb. Yes, the offence took place before the M4 tolls where the limit is 50.
-
Thanks, I'll get onto writing a letter to them. Regards... Karl

I received a Notice of Intended Prosecution on or around October which was addressed to my father (registered keeper). He filled it in with my details and then when the new form came back I filled it in and sent it back. Next, I receive in December a letter stating that I had not sent the form back. I called them and they confirmed that it was a computer error and that they had received my response and that they would be replying next week. Early January, I now receive another Notice of Intended Prosecution form. I call them, they apologise and say it was an error. They confirm I have sent them back the necessary paperwork. Today, I receive ANOTHER letter to say that they haven't received the NIP form! I shall call them later but this is getting ridiculous. Has anybody had any similar issues with the Safety Camera Unit in Wales?

Nope, correct bay. It was an error on her part with the ticket. Mistakes happen, are you not allowed mistakes anymore? I'll post the pics up. -

Obviously not for my Wife. -

Also, the ticket number is visible. Is it that hard to look up the ticket number to see if the ticket was in date? I know my Wife has made the error here but it means she's paid £1.50 for the privilege of a £80 fine! -

Also, I've just looked online and the CEO has taken a photo of the upside down ticket. Here it is. -
PCN for an upside down pay and display ticket

The contravention code is 11U "Parked without payment of the parking charge - Mobile Phone Parking" There is a credit card machine and also a mobile phone option. My Wife paid via Credit card so that reason is invalid, surely? -
Hi all, Just wanted a quick bit of advice. My Wife parked in a pay and display bay in Westminster last night and mistakenly put the pay and display ticket on the dashboard upside down (so you could only see the back of the ticket. She paid for the ticket by credit card and we still have the pay and display ticket. Will proof of payment and the ticket be enough to use in an appeal? Kind Regards.. Karl

So best to take it on the chin and pay up then eh chaps? Thanks for the info.

Hi all, Just after a bit of advice really. What to do next, Appeal or pay? My wife was parking the car near to my Father's house on Sunday. She parked on a yellow line out of controlled hours but parked too close to a dropped footway and I've been hit with a PCN from Camden Council. We were only there for a short time to load the car. Please see pictures of PCN and the car where it was parked. Any advice would be grateful. I've read up a bit on this "special enforcement area" but am still unsure how to find out where these areas are. Any ideas? Regards.. Karl

Went to New Zeland House today to make my representations to PATAS. He spoke for a bit, said he'd read my side and was going to read what H&F wrote for their side of the story. He read this aloud then looked at their photographic evidence. He looked at my photographic evidence, asked where the controlled zone was in relation to where I parked and said "I'm allowing your appeal". It was clear to him that I was in a controlled zone and that the yellow line I parked on did not have a clearly visible sign so therefore I will be getting the £260 back! Over in less than ten minutes. The thing that angers me is that if it was that easy for the adjudicator to see that the pcn and tow was unfair then the council must have as well but chose to try and scare me off. Thanks to all that offered their help and assistance. Much appreciated.
-
Thanks again for the input. Out of interest, is there a min or max length of time before you can get clamped/towed after receiving a pcn on a yellow line? I only ask because in the pictures that they submitted you can see the tow truck in the background. Usually it's the CEO that takes the photos after he's issued the pcn so I am assuming the tow truck was there at the same time that i received the pcn.

No probs, just bumping it up in case people missed my original post.

Back to my original subject.... Could somebody kindly let me know what benefit asking for the CEO to attend gives me? Regards.. Karl
-
Oh thanks. How will this help my appeal and put pressure on the LA?
-
OK guys thanks again. I'll set up a personal hearing then. Any advice on what to do? It's just a case of resubmitting what I have already done in the first appeal to the council isn't it. What's this bit about the CEO? Are you suggesting that I ask PATAS to bring along the CEO of Hammersmith and Fulham council? How will this benefit me?
