hi does that apply to state pension as well, the halifax want to take £70 of my £110 pension on the 14th for refused direct debits

Hi tilly, i know that i can do that, but i want to know what action the halifax can take if i refuse to go back to the cab and get a financial statement done. Do you know if they will refer it to a debt collecting agency. inchigh

in june 2007 i went to the cab to get a financial statement for the halifax as i had a credit card i couldn't pay, balance at that time was £2,063.45. Through the cab i made an agreement to apy £25.00 a month, they refused to suspend the instest and now the balance is £2458.45. They now want me to go again to the cab and submit another financial report about my circumstances (which have not changed) to make another agreement but if they wont suspend the inerest there seems to me to be no point. My friend told me that if I refuse they will refer it to a debt collecting agency who will only collect the debt and there will be no interet added. Does anyone know please if that is true. thanks inch high

A friend has told me that if i refuse to go to the cab to get another financial report on my circumstances (which have not changed) it will be referred to a debt collecting agency, no interest will be added and at least what i am paying will reduce the debt. Can you tell me please is this true. Will they send the baliffs round? I'm a pensionder living alone and haven't got anything to the value of the debt. thanks
