  1. Hi can you PM meor put on here the emails you have found and the names addresses of where to send letter etc please? And let me know if you have any luck? T x
  2. Now Creation are saying they won't remove the marker even if the car is transferred into someone elses name (ie me), despite the guy telling us yesterday telling us they would be breaking the law if they left it on. The woman I just sopke to refused to speak to me (despite my OH being in the room and verifying himself), and said that she is telling her supervisor that the guy who spoke to me yesterday broke data protection by discussing anything with me. She refused to believe that they make it difficult to sell the car and blamed the garages we have been to for not accepting a fax instead of removal of the marker? We don;t live at the same address or have the same name.... the very rude woman hung up yet again after a clam phonecall? Can safely say they are the rudest people I have ever spoke to!
  3. Nope, nothing- and Creation themselves say we are free to sell the car but how can we!!!!!! Could we transfer it into my name? Oh this is So annoying- also, OH spoke to OFT and they said it's not against the law and basically we can;t do anything- so how come some people threaten this stuff and get nowhere and others succeed? So annoying!
  4. Hi all We are having the EXACT same problem with Creation but the guy I spoke to in the Accounts Dept will not budge and had a wonderful half hour patronising me before hanging up. Have quoted all the above but am getting nowhere- I am like a dog with a bone and will not let this go. We have been told that they have no interest in the car yet how can we sell it? We found a car to swap (no cash involved) but the dealer won;t touch it while the marker is there. Dealer willing to get logbook and fax Creation stating that he plans to buy the car and requesting they remove the marker before he does this. But Creation say they will NOT remove UNTIL the logbook is in someone elses name as then they would be breaking the law if they didn't??!?!?! Am sure this is wrong on so many levels- who can I speak to hugher up as the 'Accounts Manager' I spoke to has got to be one of the vilest human beings I have ever spoken to in a call centre. I will not let this go, but in the meantime the car we have spent weeks finding will probably be sold!!! Help!
  5. Thank you. I have contacted my MP as well as NHSB (someone different, AGAIN!). Am going to ask uni tomorrow, try n speak to finance bit. What has your MP done for you? What's you issue if you don't mind me asking? Good Luck! I just can't see why NHSB would pay me bursary for nearly 2yrs and then see me leave and see their money come to nothing- no qualified nurse at the end of it! WHY! xx
  6. Dear All This maybe long but here goes- I started my course Sept 09 and have 2 young kids who go to nursery. The bursary pay 85% of costs for childcare. Everything was fine until I moved my daughters to their current nursery (3rd this yr). Forms filled in correctly etc- but someone at NHSB input them wrong and added it as an EXTRA childcare provider instead of a change. I got a large sum of money into my bank a few months ago and queried it. I was told that I had been backpaid as i had only been paid for ONE CHILD since Sept. I queried this is it did not sound right (on the same phonecall) and was re-assured the cash was mine. I spent the cash on paying a few debts off, but after talking to a fellow student about finances I rang again, as I was worrying. I was told that I had been paid for 2 C/C providers, and had that back-dated (why I have no idea as the new dates on the 3rd nursery form were only from 1st march when they started so why back-date as 2 c/c providers to Sept?!). Anyway I spoke to several people on the phone including people in their overpayment and finance sections. I was told I would owe a sum which was £600 more than the actual lump sum overpayment so I queried this. However I now understand that that sum was the overpayment lump sum, any overpayment in the actual monthly childcare allowances I had received, and including money yet to be paid to me as I wanted to continue getting my entitlement to enable me to continue with my course so the remaining childcare payments would still be paid to me and I would owe this. I have been dealing with a senior bursary officer for 2-3 wks by email going through all of this. Last week she told me I would get over £100 less per month than what 85% of the monthly costs are, despite being told by someone in a letter I would get £500+ per month for May-August (which is 85% or my £600+ costs). She told me I would get £430 per month instead as that was my ACTUAL yearly entitlement (what it should be now they have worked it all out), divided by 12. I complained at this as that was ANOTHER £100+ I had to find, and I also asked again how I appeal the original overpayment (as I was advised I could do and was within my rights to do by a member of their staff when the whole mess began). Today however she has replied saying I have been told wrong, bla bla, and now I will only get my basic bursary, ZERO c/c for the next 3 months, so that the amount I owe will be only £500+ instead of £1800 + (if being paid £430 a month for the next 3 months as stated last week) and £2100+ (if being paid the full 85% as stated a few weeks ago was fine to do). Obviously this means I now have to leave my course meaning 18 months at college and all this time at uni, all the work, placement etc along with 2 small kids, is a waste. I cannot afford £600+ per month nursery fees alone, and that is only for 3.5hr per day, my mum has the kids the rest of the time (she works in the PM though so can't help out more no one else to help). I am devatsted, I fuilly believe the lady I have spoken to has done this out of spite as I have emailed her so many times- she herself said only a week ago I would get £430 a month, I replied stating how I will be struggling with that and her reply is to cut that down to £0?!?! I am utterly digusted. I am willing to take this further if it means I have lost my career and a future for my kids. I will fight it to the death. I am not saying I should not pay it- despite it being ALL their mistakes. I would appeal it (probably fail but feel better knowing I had tried as £2k ish debt on top of my current debts is horrendous!). I WOULD pay it back monthly from Sept as they stated if only it meant I could continue my course. But it seems she has the final say and is not willing to help me at all. How can I take this further, please?
  7. Oh damn, Knew it was right... just p*ssed off that they told him differently at the beginning of his notice period, then someone else tells him that on the last day he works there! He called them today, they said they have alreayd deducted it- he doesn't veen get paid til 26th which is 11 days away... I am so annoyed!!!!!!
  8. Hi all, My partner worked for a company for 2 years + and they recently paid for him to do HGV training, which he did. He was offered a better job about 3 months after he passed, which he has taken. We were aware he would owe the full cost of the training, and expected it. He gave his employer 2 weeks notice a couple of weeks ago. I told him to ask his manager to find out when and how they would be reclaiming this money. His manager spoke to someone at Head Office or Payroll I presume, and assured me OH that he would still get full pay at the end of this month for the time he has worked this month, since last payday on 26th Sept, so it should have been over £600 (he left on Friday). He told Ryan that they would be sending him a letter etc. stating how much he owed and how to pay. Friday came, and his manager is on holiday. His Deputy manager decided on the off chance (supposedly) to call Payroll/ HO to find out that this was definitely the case, only to be told no- they will not be paying my OH anything- they will be taking it all off what he owes (just over £1000). Same with this month's overtime that should be paid at the end of November. Now I read somewhere on the internet that this isn't legal BUT he obtained a copy of what he signed. Here it is.... Final Loan Agreement ************ (company name) ************ (OH's name) In Consideration of the company paying for my training as a Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) driver, I ********* confirm that I will undertake training as an LGV driver and accept the loan agreement as set out below. Should I leave the employment for whatever reason, excluding redundancy, within two years of the date of completion of the training, I hereby authorise ************** to deduct the amount stipulated in a, b or c below, directly from any monies due to me as at the date of leaving, including salary, bonus and person entitlements. If the monies referred to above do not cover the amount owed, I understand that I am responsible for paying the shortfall. a. If I leave within 6 months from the date of completion of training, I will repay 75% of the total cost of training at £1,026.38 b. If I leave within a period of 6-12 months, inclusive from the date of completion of training, I will repay 50% of the total cost of training at £684.25 c. If I leave within 1- 2 years of the date of completion of training I will repay 30% of the total cost of training at £410.55 NOTE: The Branch Manager will be responsible for advising the Payroll Dept. at ******** should this employee leave within the time stated at a-c above. My OH has then signed and dated it, as did the training admin manager. So really, do we have a leg to stand on? We are going to be so screwed- no money for bills, direct debits, food, diesel etc. and we have a young daughter of 1 year old. HELP! And why did his manager tell him differently at the START of his notice? ARGH!
