  1. No, I missed that forum entirely to be honest and just jumped here to the NatWest one. It's got quite a bit of useful info in it, so thanks. So you'd suggest sending them a follow-up letter indicating that I'm not satisfied with their response and that I will take them to court (after a reasonable period) regardless of their position with the OFT?
  2. Hi, I recently started a claim against NatWest for about £300. After getting copies of my statements, adding them up and requesting them back I got lengthy letter about how they are involved with legal proceedings with the OFT and that they will not deal with my complaint until that is resolved. Apparently the FSA has given them permission to "Suspend the normal timetable for dealing with bank charges complaints". In addition, apparently the Master of the Rolls (whoever that is) has suggested to County Courts that they do not deal with these cases until the proceedings with the OFT are completed; and "the bank will immediately apply for an order to stay your action until resolution of the banks proceedings with the OFT". Although I understand thepractical reasoning behind it, it seems to me like the banks are (like usual) using their immense financial muscle to delay things for as long as they can. Is this just another intimidation/stalling tactic or is there really nothing I can do about it? Thanks, Steve
