Bi Folding door I think I have been scamed please help
spore33 replied to spore33's topic in General Consumer Issues
Hi CAG, I am still having a problem with this company, it's now over 6 week and I haven't receive the door I payed for. When I called the company to have a full refund, I was told they can not give full refund because the door is in manufacturing process despite being promise delivery 3 different date and they have fail to deliver the door. I am thinking taking the company to small claim court but I do know where I stand. As they claim they can not give refund due to all bi foolding doors are made to measure and once order no cancellation is acceptable -
Hi all, I do need some advice from the board me and my wife are first time buyer just the stress of buying our first home is a killer, the property we are buying need some modernization so we decided to buy a new bi folding door. I saw a company based in Bath doing a good deal they quote £2700, £2000 was paid into the company account on the 10th of Feb with the balance of £750 will be paid on the day of delivery. I was promise by the company that door will be ready by end of the month, however to my surprise since we have made the payment the company doesn't respond to my phone calls or emails if could remember right they have only return my call back once after several emails and voice message left which I asked them to supply me with exact date of delivery. Builders are coming on Monday the 27th to knock the wall down where the bi fold door will be going into but so far no news from the company. I am so stress I don't want to knock a wall down and no door to fit I might end up with the house been flooded with water when it rains. I know it might be a bit early to complain since they promise they will delivering the item by the end of the month. However I've got a lot of concern as the vendor is not even responding to emails or phone calls I don't even have the exact date. what can I do please I'm about to loss the plot:-x:-x:-x

Hi every one I do have a question I wanted to ask regarding section 5,I was issue a fixed penalty of 80 pounds for swearing in public place I am not saying I didn't do it. However the way the police handle the case was just too bad that was the first time in my life I felt I have been treated badly simply because of the colour of my skin. This is my story I sold my previous car which I informed the DVLA about it but for some reason the guy I sold it to, got a parking ticket and didn't pay 5 to 6 month later I had bailiff knocking at my door demanding I should pay £700. I show the bailiff the paper work I received from DVLA that the car wasn't mine at the time the offence. However to my surprise 5 days later another bailiff company clamped my own car demanding that I should pay £700 this was 7am around 8am I went to the police station showing the police all my paper work and they order the bailiff to come and unclamp my car or he will be arrested this was around 9am. The bailiff didn't turn up until about 4:30pm obvious I was so mad and upset and also they have this massive sticker they put on the windscreen, what I told him was I want my car the state it was this morning before the clamping ,then you can be on you way but he wasn't haven it. his reply was I am only doing my job that is when I snap. He called the police and I was arrested I got issue 80 fine for uses threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour I paid fine because was told if I didn't pay I will be going to court which might lead to criminal record. Since that incident I hate the police with passion

The car was bought from a business the company name is Autoquake.com -
2 days ago I bought my dream SUV (Porsche Cayenne) 2004 model for 11500. I first saw the car online then I paid £100 deposit last week, 5 days later I went down to the pick up point. The sales man Kevin showed me the car and promise nothing was wrong with the car that any car goes through 120 point check before it goes online for sale. While I was looking around I saw a light in the dash board, I ask him why is that light up, his respond was is due to low level of petrol there is nothing I should worried about, also there are some sound I wasn't really happy about, his respond again was that, that is how porcshe sound is not like any other small car. I paid £7500 cash remaining £4000 with Santander finance, drove away from bradford heading towards Oxford, after about 50 miles I wasn't happy about the light in the dash board I stop at the nearest gas station however to my promise after full tank of petrol the light was still on:eek: I looked at my watch it was too late to call the sales man. I was going crazy because I know he lied to me about the light so I wanted to tell him peace of my mind but I don't know the worst is till on the way, after about 60 more miles I can hear the Vehicle miss fire and the Engine light start flashing and the brake light also was flasing I pull to one side. I called AA after diagnose the fault it comes up with multiple fault, brake is gone and the all valves are faulty also. I was advice by the AA guy to take it to Porsche becuase there might be something else with the engine, the car was towed to porchse Garrage and I have been trying to called the place I bought the car since with no joy. All I want is the car to be repaired but I don't know where I stand when it comes to my right and advice please.

Where should I start from? my younger brother is a full time student he also do some part time job also, to help towards his tuttion fess. But last year October he made a very big mistake by borrowing money from Welcome finace the sum of £2500 which he had to paying £199 for 5 years. I wasn't aware of the issue up until 2 weeks ago becuase he keep on asking me for money. The problem now is £199 is just too much for him to be paying for 5 years his only £450 wages a month. Im just wondering if is possible for welcome finance to freeze the intrest so that he could clear the debt ASAP.

2 weeks a go I bought 4 alloy wheels £750 for my car on the internet which I paid with my Debit card over the phone. Before I paid for the alloy I asked the seller if they are going to fit, I was promise that I shouldn't have any problem with the alloys bc the have sold a lot of them. However to my surprise when I receieved them, the alloy wasn't balance which had to pay extra £22 twice to get them balance in 2 different Garages, I took the car for a test drive Wow the alloy wasn't suitable for my car.I called the seller to inform them about the problem. 2days later they send their courier services to pick it up, yesterday I called the company to find out when i'm going to receieved my refund, the first that came out from his mouth was they can't give me any refund bc I didn't packed the alloy with cartons or buble rap so therefore are damaged in transit:mad:. Im about to loose my had now I don't even know where to start from any help pls maybe a template letter I can send to them any thing pls help

-
OK at least they should let you know is a new contract and secondly the account is on my name not on my wife name. I should be the person they need to talk to not my wife

I don't know what to do with BT,I called them 3 days ago because I wanted to change a provider for Broadband however to my surprise I was been told im still in contract with BT untill October this year.Which I know is all bull**** becuase have been with BT more than 5 years. I was been told the contract was renew in October for another year However during this period I was not even in the Country, have been away from April until December. I know for sure I didn't renew any type of contract but to my surprise when I speak to my wife about this, she told she remember some time in October that BT called the house simply to tell her from that month (October) they are reducing the price plan from £26 to £24 and they didn't mention anything about a new contract whatsoever.

Thanks for the advice however this is the only copy that I was send there is nothing at the back of it maybe they forget to photocopy both side who knows. Can I write them back to request for a complete agreement? in that case im on a safe side if they couldn't provide a complete agreement
-
so what you are saying now is the debt is not enforceable
-
Secondly im not an expert but I just saw a small print on the form I mean where my signature is (this is a credit agreement regulated by consumer act 1974 sign only if you want to be legally bound by this term)
-
Thanks for all your help.My only fear now is I don't want to stop paying them then end up even paying more or have default register on my credit file,I was thinking of sending them at least the last letter so that they can know they only send me an application form not a credit aggrement.
-
thanks a lot for the quick reply where do I stand from here now?do need to write them back and if so can you send me a template please.
