  1. Hi,could someone advise me if this is a normal procedure with regards to group collections centre who work on behalf of cb, I was unknowingly given a unlimited overdraft on my current account plus in which i went over by more than i had to pay back at that time. Which resulted in the balance being transferred to Group collections, i came to an agreement to pay £50 per month. 2 days ago i checked my other normal bank account that i have with clydesdale and noticed a debit of £200, after my branch taking ages to find out who debited it, it turned out to be group collections, i called them as i was only 3 days late in paying my £50 and wanted to know why on earth they took £200 when i had only missed one payment of £50, they apologised and basically said, you have x amount left in your account that should tide you over until we refund the money back to you monday. What gives them the right to decide to take as much money out of my account without my knowledge? is this allowed? I also recently send them an income expenditure form asking to reduce my payments until my finances are more stable but i was told they werent accepting my offer. Any advise would be grateful please thanks Leanne.
  2. Hi, im looking for some advice on where i stand with rights etc, i purchased metal bunk beds with mattresses from argos online on march of this year, up until the last two months there has been slight creaking noises which is expected but now when my eldest daughter climbs into bed at night and also when shes tossing and turning through the night the noise that the bed frame makes is not only waking her sister whom is sleeping in the bottom bunk but also loud enough to wake me through in the next room! My partner has tried to loosen the bolts and wd40 etc but still no joy, am i within my rights to contact argos with this matter and whom would i contact? Many Thanks Leanne
  3. Hi could someone please give me advice on a problem i have with bt, i ordered a new phone line which was due to be connected on tuesday 7th, i received a call from bt explaining that the engineer didnt need access to my property that day as he could activate the line from outside, i had explained to the customer advisor that on looking at the phone socket i had in my home it looked very old and worn to which he replied it shouldnt be a problem. on Tuesday night i tried 3 different types of phones with no connection so i called bt again on wednesday to be told that they done a check on the line and there is no fault, i have then emailed bt regarding this and still no reply, i am unhappy with the lack of customer service, am i within my rights to cancel the 12 month contract i have been tied into? thanks leanne
  4. hi, im looking for some advice, ive been working for my employer for 3 years now and i have received a written warning and due to appear at a hearing tommorow, i recieved the warning as last friday i took a sick day from work and my partner called in to advise them i wouldnt be in, the reason for my absence was because on the wednesday my supervisor was harrasing me and accusing me of taking drugs and thoughout the day she was making comments about this even after i told her that i wasnt. on the friday i was off i was meant to be working with my supervisor again and i was up most of the night worrying as i didnt want to listen to her accusing me again, the reason stated on my letter for my warning was that i did not contact management to explain my absence, i did not answer calls or texts from them, i did not explain to management the reason for my absence on return until asked to do so also not apologising until asked to do so, i feel this is a bit harsh i know i should have called in myself rather than my partner, but im unsure if i should have maybe received a verbal warning first as ive only ever been off sick one other day. many thanks leanne.

  6. hi this is my first post, i moved to my new flat in aug 06 my landlord advised me npower was both my gas/electricity supplier, after receiving a high gas bill i queried my bill and noticed npower had the wrong m number on my bill after calling them numerous times to tell them this, they assured me this wasnt relevent to my bill. my account was on hold by both npower and ofgem whilst they investigated the problem, basically turns out scotish power are my gas suppliers and are now demanding £600, i only paid £96 to npower for gas due to my account being on hold, i got a phonecall from someone at npower offering me £30 compensation which he claimed was "more than enough", ive been off work for weeks now due to stress and the hassle this has caused, ive got all the names/dates off every call i made to npower to tell them my correct m number which would have resolved this matter last year, could anyone advise me on this thanks leanne.
