So what you are saying is there is no need to send letter to them and the £1 postal order back stating that they are not offering what i am legally entitled to? just let them get on with acting dumb and hit them with the legal letters once the time limit is up?

I sent a standard letter to capital One requesting a copy of my original credit agreement and all other info they hold about me. I enclosed a £1 postal order as suggested by people on this site. I have received a handwritten compliments slip and my postal order back saying they would supply a copy of the terms and conditions. My letter was extremely specific. do they not understand plain english or are they trying to fob me off? any advice?

thank you. in process of requesting them now. have also sent CCA requests for original documents. i'm bouncing off walls and wanting to be able to do more NOW but i have realised i have to be patient and wait for all the information to be sent back to me or the 14 days period to have elapsed. if however there is anything i can do in the meantime then please advise me.

I am in the process of requesting CCA's and would like to get my credit report to compare the report to the replies i am gonna get from my creditors. however, the creditors dont always use the same agency to get their information from and supply default information to. (please correct me if this statement is wrong) Which credit reference agency should i get my report from and is the £13 report that these companies do over the net the best report to get? thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

thank you for reply. you said make sure i didn't sign cca. what do you mean by cca? i have sent the letters recorded delivery. I signed the letter i sent to request the info. have i just royally screwed up everything at the first stage? :S -
I have sent a letter + £1 postal order for each agreement so i can receive a copy of each agreement and all other information to do with their right to act. I am so new to trying this it is unbelievable and i am really struggling with trying to understand what i should do next. I really dont understand what i am doing so any help would be appreciated. my situation is that i am £22,000 in debt and paying £20 a month via payplan to pay a token amount as i am currently out of work. I have tried to gain employment and as my experience is within the retail sector they require a credit search to be passed before they can offer employment. obviously anything i can do to remove adverse credit marks or remove debts completely would be incredible. I am assuming i have started in the right way by requesting the information i have. could anyone give me a step by step guide to how i should proceed and any advice you think may be helpful. obviously i will be extremely grateful as this is really affecting my health now. I look forward to hearing from you all.
