I just found out that HSBC have closed my account. I remember opening my account when I was about 11 so I have been in the bank for 14 years now. I have guessed that they have closed it because I have not used it in 4 months, although that sounds harsh to me. I just got a cheque from the taxman but I cant pay it in now I dont have a bank. My question to you guys is: how do I get HSBC to give me statements from the past 6 years so I can claim the charges back? When I called them they said that they dont have any information on me at all.
