  1. Hello Sally, I had a court date for the 14th August, but they have just sent an offer for the full amount(£1545). So I would not be too worried the likley hood they will settle before.
  2. Evening All, Just to confirm I have recived the offer today and I will send off first class tomorrow (27th june 07). All I want advice on now is once they have paid the money how do I stop the court procedings. Help is very much appreciated.
  3. Hello Guys, I took the plunge and rung the bank and what a surprise they did not have a clue in what I was on about!!! I went through to the local branch and again, they did not have a clue what I was on about. What a surprise!!!! So I decided to phone the solicitors and they were very helpful too. They advised me that the letter I recicved was just a standard letter to help me stop incurring charges in the future. Then they advised a further letter has been sent offering me a full settlement of £1545. BACK OF THE NET!!!! this will help with moving
  4. Hello Guys I have recivied the following letter today, what are your opionions I should do: - "We have been passed a copy of the proceedings that you have issued against out client in Pontypridd Court. The bank will be defending these proceedings on the following grounds: 1. The fees that you seek are properly incorporated into your contract with the bank; and 2. By making payments (whether by cheque, debit card or any other means) from your account where you have insufficient funds to cover them, you are making a request to the bank for an increased overdraft, which the bank may meet or decline. It it meets your request you must pay the necessary charges. The issue of penalties only arises as a matter of law, where there has been a breach of contract, and there is no breach of contract here. Looking ahead, a situation which gives rise to a dispute is not one the bank wishes to continue. In veiw of this, you are requested, please, to make contact within the next 14 days with your local Lloyds TSB branch manager, on 0845 3 000 000, to review your account. A review may be useful to consider whether your current banking arrangements are the most appropriate for your needs. We await confirmation from your bank taht this action has been taken. So, are they caving in? Should I phone? My court date is on the 14 August 2007 and it is in Cardiff Court not Pontypridd. The letter is from the banks solicitors and I am claiming back £1500. What is the next steps? Thanks
