  2. I have received a letter from credit solutions demanding the full amount for my egg loan. I missed one 70 pound payment on my egg loan and now its been passed over. as many of you are aware cs are a complete bunch of cowboys i phoned them and said i can only afford 35 pounds per week and they said they only offer they will accept is 75 pounds per week because they have a baseline figure. i said i cant afford that and she said see would refuse my letter and start issuing court proceedings, can they do this? thanks Lee
  3. hi, I had a rbs royalties gold account for about 15 years and a loan i took out in 2004. i was made redundant and didnt keep up the payments on the loan and then started on a monthly payment plan which they agreed. i then received a letter from cms which must be part of rbs saying the loan account is with them. i havent used the bank account with rbs for around 12 months and it was not overdrawn. RBS now say that all my accounts are with CMS and any refund of charges into my royalties gold account will be offset against my loan! I have tried to withdraw the money from my account but rbs need authorisation from cms in the settlement letter they sent me for the charges they said the money would be paid direct into my account and said nothing at all about being paid off the loan i wrote back accepting their offer only on the understanding i received a cheque and was also told by 3 people at their customer relations team that i would be able to receive a cheque. when i then phoned up asking why it got paid into the rbs account and not by cheque they say they cant help and put me intouch with cms who in turn say they cant do anything at all with regards to withdrawing money and wont take my complaint any further i hope this makes sense Lee
  4. hi, just to let you know i had a fantastic win with RBS. I claimed £8475.87 and got it all back. i sent my acceptance letter back and asked for the money to be sent in way of a cheque to myself as my account is doormant. I have a loan with RBS and its now MCS and i pay monthly on the account. RBS have now paid the money into my old account and are saying that i cant have the money as its come off the money i owe then can they do this even tho i signed to the acceptance letter asking for a cheque thanks Lee

  6. I received my statements over the last 6 years and was amazed the my charges totalled just over £7000!!!! i new over the last 18 months they hammered me for charges as i was unemployed for a while. I sent my LBA and they responded with the following reply: thankyou for your letter dated the 13 June 2006 and i appologise for any dissatisfaction caused by the application of charges to your account. The bank believes that its charges are fair and reasonable and considers the amounts debited to your accounts have been applied strictly in accordance with the banks published tarriff. The bank is satisfied that this tariff complies with all applicable laws and regulations. Against that background, the banks must differ with the views expressed in your letter. Accordingly, the charges have been applied to your account will stand. We look forward to your continued payments of xxxx, next due xxxxxxxxxx If you have any queries please contact us on the above number Yours sincerley Customer service manager I have a loan so thats what the continued payments are. My question is: Is this a standard response and should i stick to my time table and by the end of the month issue court proceedings or should i send another letter? hope you can help thanks Lee

  8. I sent my LBA to the Halifax and the 14 days was due to expire tomorrow. Today i rec'd a 2nd offer letter from Halifax of £819, my 1st offer was for £273 and i told them to stick it! My total request was for £2300 worth of charges. The letter read Dear Mr xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Thanks you for your recent letter. I attempted to call Mr xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx today, but was unable to establish contact. On calling the house number and mobile number i was directed to voicemail services. For reasons of security, i did not leave a message. I am sorry to learn you are unhappy with our initial offer to refund £273 worth of charges. Blah blah blah I am prepared to increase my offer to £819 in full and final settlement. I will reiterate that future valid charges will stand and we reserve the right to close your account if you do not manage it correct. If you are prepared to accept this revised offer please sign and return the enclosed acceptance for in the pre paid envelope provided blah blah yours sincerely Alan Greig Senior Customer Relations Manager Customer Relations My question is do i still commence with court proceedings tomorrow as per my original letter, or do I send another letter kindly accepting their offer but i will pursue the remaining amount in court if i do not receive a cheque within the next 7 days? hope you guys can help and give me some advice Lee

  12. thanks for the info. The debt agency is in scotland but i am in the uk (somerset) one thing i dont want is a CCJ against my name as this will screw things up for the next 6 - 7 years it just frustrates me how i told mint that i was unemployed and they werent willing to help and then when i starting paying the other debt collectors i missed one payment and they sent it to this other parasite company
  13. the bank charges i am doing on my own, i just need advice off them as to what to do about this collection company in scotland. They havent bought the Debt off mint as i asked them this mint still own the debt. If this is the case can this company seek what equity i have in the house and can they get an attachment of earnings?
  14. hi, thanks for that again, can you explain what the actually do then or should i wait for an email from them?
  15. thanks for that i will call them monday, i have never really been in that much debt until i was unemployed and now things are just mad. Hopefully getting charges back of the banks will help me out thanks again, have you heard what the consumer credit counselling services are like?
  16. Hi, Firstly thanks for the great site i am awaiting my information from Halifax, HSBC and more I had a letter from allied international credit uk ltd based in glasgow saying i had to pay my £3170 immediatley which i owe to Mint due to me not maintaining the payments after being unemployed for 7 months. The original debt was through Moorcroft and they have sent it to these people as i missed 1 payment of £80 which i informed them of. I phoned Allied international and spoke to Mr iqbal on their number and he has advised me that they will instruct their solicitors to investigate into my mortgage company to see how much equity we have and also go for an attachment of earnings, i asked if they have bought the debt of RBS mint and they said no. Can this company do this? I have tried to phone Mint customer services but they are closed at the weekend!!!!!! Can someone advise me what i can do as i am feeling the stress of being unemployed for 7 months. i have now got a job and am paying debt off now. I estimate that over 6 years the banks proberly owe me around £30,000 which would be such a relief
