yeah maybe you were not told everything , i have just bought a 160Gb for my pc. when formating I only get 149GB,(win2k) thats a few missing GB and I am not alone. There are other cases where people have bought larger HDD and lost more that they thought when formating , it goes on. This i believe is standard practice, i have also read that western digital have paid out over a misrepresention .Neowin.net - Western Digital pays up in class action lawsuit. . . . I do think this is misleading , i know why it is , you should be told that there will be some discrepancy and not left feeling short changed.
