great thanks, this might be a silly question but do you happen to know if they retain the statements for accounts that are closed? I closed the account as soon as I'd repaid the charges!

I'm hoping to reclaim some bank charges from over 6 years ago however there is one point I'm not clear on (I have looked through the forum so 'scuse me if I've missed it), I closed the account shortly after repaying the charges, do bank generally still keep records/statements etc for that length of time? Clydesdale Bank in Scotland 1998-2001 apporoximately. thanks in advance for any help.
