  1. Thanks CB wasn't aware of that at all will do some reading. Cheers
  2. Cheers DX, will have another read tomorrow is the gist ok?
  3. Hi All how this look going to email santy CEO.
  4. Thanks DX Just checked me CRA it shows Santy still own the debt, the wording of the letter is they are asking Moorcroft to collect on their behalf. Thanks
  5. Hi CitizenB, Not sure, all these letters came yesterday, nothing from moorcroft yet, I've their number blocked already at home as i've an existing thing going on with Halifax. They should write soon i guess. The letter says collecting if that helps, I'm at work I can post it later if req. Thanks Ian
  6. Now then Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to one and all .... Got a reply from retail collections today, advising that they have passed further collection to Moorcroft (... those of comic sans threat-o-gram fame!). I still have an open complaint as a far as i can see so do i tell Moorcroft to hold on while i settle my dispute with Satander or go straight to the ombudsmen and see what they can do? not sure which is best or just forget it and negotiate with Moorcroft? I really start to feel Satander are not paying any attention to the lending code.
  7. cheers CitizenB, the buggers haven't responded yet though! Cheers Ian
  8. will do that surprised Halifax haven't written yet. Thanks Guys.
  9. here is my response to the latest madness. I'd appreciate some feedback. Thanks Ian
  10. Thanks Ghost, Santander have written again today, investigation complete, and although apologising for phone calls. They seem to have completely grasped the wrong end of the stick, thinking I'm using a DMP company and are placing the account on hold for 40 days to allow me to arrange for them to contact them! time for a new letter me thinks. Ian
  11. Thanks for the template I'll get one ready if I need it. I sent a complaint letter to the head of collections a few weeks back. Outlining my situation, my offer of payment and firm refusal to supply personal details, and my surprise that they still had my telephone number on record despite writing to me to say they had removed all my number from their system. Surprisingly I received a letter today from Santander today apologising for the delay in dealing with my complaint, but to bear with them as they investigate ! lets see where this goes, still concerned I can't make payments to my account though. Cheers Ian
  12. Hi All, New letter from Moorcroft, still nothing from Halifax yet, you can see it attached below. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5405859/moorcroft.jpg Its in Comic Sans for crying out loud how are you suposed to take a threatening letter seriously in that font! Its all hollow threats I guess. Do I acknowledge them or carry on with Halifax, they've accepted this months payment I think. Or do I write to moorcroft with an I&E and an offer? Cheers Ian
  13. Will do it ... looks like they've closed the account, they use the world's slowest postal service so I expect it will be next week before i see a letter !
  14. interestingly Satander are no longer accepting my payments via online banking. time to worry? Ian
  15. had a call from moorcroft tonight asked for security i said no, they said you'll have to deal with us. I put the phone down. The letters on its way....
  16. Hi dx, not sure i have any charges, but i will check. Thanks firstship, I was thinking along those lines, I'll write to Moorcoft and tell them Halifax haven't advised me they were acting on their behalf. Is it worth copying halifax in on the letter? Cheers Ian
  17. Hi All, my original thread Just received a unexpected letter today from Moorcroft Debt Recovery, in relation to a halifax CC debt, which is strange because I have an agreement with halifax for £5pcm for six months from the 1/6/11 which still has at least 1 payment to go after which i was expecting to agree to a new plan with the halifax based on my original offer. I've had no letters stating they've passed on the debt to anyone a quick call to retail collections asked me to call a company called Blair, Oliver & Scott on an 0845 number, I've not done this yet as I'm considering writing to halifax to clarify who should be collecting my payments. The letter from Moorcroft looks scary but reading between the lines is just a threat-o-gram, intended litigation, indeed. I've made the payments I could afford each month so the judge I presume would look dimly on them taking me to court. The arrangement letter even says after review in december ..... also says that they might at this time pass the account to their recoveries team. So whats the next step for me to take? any advise greatly appreciated as always NB: (I was considering CCA but i think I've a copy here anyway)
  18. Hi dx do you have a legal doc i can quote at them? they insist its company policy, will fight if i can. ian
  19. Hi All, Still working my self DMP and have finally included the bank in the DMP which was a brilliant idea, First Direct were very helpful and complimented me on my work so far, and have agreed a fair repayment But, Santander continue to be a pain, they still will not agree to an arrangement without bank statements or payslips. Despite some letter tennis they still send the same letter back. Also more seriously they started calling me again, despite agreeing to remove my phone number from there records, my first reaction is to re-lodge the complaint as they clearly haven't removed my number from their records. I did speak to the rep but it was like talking to a broken record she kept repeating that i needed to send in payslips\bank statements and it was satander policy to not agree without this info. So I'm back to ask the wise heads around these parts whats the best approach to : a. Bank statements\Pay slips etc . (TBH I've nothing to hide but I'd rather not give that info) b. them ringing despite in writing saying they had removed my number from there database. With Thanks Ian
  20. Hi Seqenci, They have the amounts owed and the distribution of monies via a I&E form I've completed as well as my own from the templates I got from here the only thing I've omitted is the names of the creditors as advised here previously. I'll lodge a complaint direct with satander and see what they say. I had a good response when I complained about excessive phone calls. Cheers Ian
  21. back again, things going pretty well with my self arranged DMP. But, I'm still struggling with satanader, still playing post tennis I've completed all reasonable demands completed there own I&E Forms but I still refuse to supply wage slips, bank statements or identify my other creditors. Each letter just gets a stock letter in return but at least freezes charges and collections. I continue to pay only £5pm but this is starting to get silly. All my other creditors have happily entered into agreements. I seem to have reached an impass. Do i lodge a complaint with them siteing FSA rules?, Do i complain to the ombudsman?, Ask CCCS to speak to them on my behalf? Any suggestions would ber gratefully recieved. With Thanks Ian
  22. its not just payslips they want, pay slip, recent bank statement (who has those these days) , and statements from other creditors. In fairness to them they're not charging me any interest or applying charges but are wilfully ignoring any information I'm sending them. My other creditors seem happy to accept the IE and make an arrangement but not satander. Any suggestions I'm minded to reduce the token payment to a £1 and play letter tennis.
  23. just a quick update the harrasment letter worked a treat and satander have stopped ringing ! however they still stubbornly asking for a pay slips etc. Oh well I guess I'll be reading the OFT guidelines to see if they have something i can quote at them. Another thing they seem to use the worlds slowest postal service; a letter sent on 22/6 arrived on 28/6, which is making quick responses difficult! the other letter regarding my offer is still outstanding. still making some progress now cheers guys. Ian
