Well - haven't been on here for ages - sent off the preliminary letter and got standard reply of 'looking into it' then got sidetracked by more urgent issues and finally got round to sending the letter before action a week ago - yesterday I got a without prejudice letter agreeing to pay the charges!!!! So all good - thanks for the templates and the moral support - I read loads of threads on litigation etc expecting it to go further but am glad it didn't.

Hiya I've got my statements from the internet and drawn up the spreadsheet of charges so am ready to send the Preliminary approach letter. Am I right in thinking I send this one to my Branch or do I need to copy it elsewhere as well?

Hi all I'm new and finding this a bit daunting but will persevere going to try and reclaim charges from HSBC so will keep you updated and ask for help as needed - probably frequently. Good to know there is somewhere to get help from - thanks in advance.
