  1. Hi Broke Dave

Sorry to hound you for advice but in the reminder letter I send them rejecting their conditions again, should I tell them to take the money back after a certain time period if they still want to attach conditions to the settlement or should I just send them a letter reminding them of my first letter, I have electronic proof of Recorded delivery received.??

    Does that make sense:???:

  2. Good morning,

thanks for all the info, will be sending off a copy of my original 'rejection of Conditions' letter to them (Recorded delivery again), but a question please,

Has anyone else had this letter after settlement, I can't find anything else on the forum?

  3. hi there

I had my money paid into my account approx 10-12 days after I sent the letter. I would not accept their conditions and sent my reply to their offer back as such. the day after I received the money into my account I received another letter, saying that as I hadn't replied to their offer letter they would settle anyway but still they attached the conditions. Now I wonder where I stand if i spend the money do they assume I am accepting their conditions, which I said I'm not.

    any ideas?/

  4. Hi

I have recieved my full amount claimed, I sent a letter rejecting their claims, it was sent recorded so i know they received it, but a day after I recieved the money SC&M sent me a letter to the effect that since I hadn't given them the courtesy of a reply to their offer letter (which I had rejecting conditions) they would put the money in my account on the basis that it was in full and final settlement, that I would agree to maintain my account within agreed limits and I would make an appointment with the bank to review my account. These were the conditions I did not agree to, but they have still given me the money and then in a letter receveived a day later, told me I am getting the money on those conditions, does any body have any ideas where you stand with regards to this situation???

  5. Hi

I have also recieved my full amount claimed, I sent a letter rejecting their claims, it was sent recorded so i know they received it, but a day after I recieved the money SC&M sent me a letter to the effect that since I hadn't given them the courtesy of a reply to their offer letter (which I had) they would put the money in my account on the basis that it was in full and final settlement, I would agree to maintain my account within agreed limits and I would make an appointment with the bank to review my account. 6. Can anyone advise please. I sent back my letter rejecting LTSB conditions that came with their offer, they got the letter on Monday but there is still no money put in my account, do you think if I ring them I might get somewhere. I did give a deadline for payment which runs out over the weekend.???

    Any ideas?:?

  7. Got a full + final settlement letter thru from LTSB today. Will be accepting amount offered + v. pleased about it too!

Just wondering how long it's taken others to actually get their money?

Also, when I send a covering letter back to SC&M should I give them a deadline to pay up?

Have already said that I won't be sending a letter of discontinuance to court until I have the money, but would I be pushing my luck if I gave them until 10.30am on 9th July (settlement letter was dated 25th June)? Or shall I just wait until they pay me in their own sweet time?

I've read on here it can take up to 4 weeks to get the money.

    Hi furrypest

Did you get your money yesterday?

  8. Got another question about these settlement offer letters.

Can you cross out the conditions you don't want to accept but add a date onto their letter stipulating when you want the money paid into your account, or would you have to send a completely seperate letter.

I don't want to be waiting 4 or 5 weeks for my money.

  9. I find the timescale of 4-5 weeks to pay money into an account very unbelieveable. Would they be paying the 5 weeks lost interest back into your account also. I have given them a very reasonable amount of time to settle, but we shall see.

Thanks for the congrats but I will wait until the money is in my account before I open the Champagne!!;)

  10. Hi ther

I've been reading your thread as I seem to be in almost the same position as yourself, can I just ask, after you refused the condtions for settlement how long did you have to wait before the money was actually put back into your account?

    Oh and welldone.
