hi everyone, my name is george and I have just joined the site, and eager to ask my first question, probably a question that everyone asks, are the banks breaking the law by over charging,I sent away for a brochure from a company that gets your money back from the overcharging banks but you have to go back six years and be over a certain ammount as they charge a percentage, now I was told by them that the ombustman had past a rule to say that banks are breaking the law by over charging and should only charge what it would be to handle the item ie arround £3.25 per item and not £30 to £40 pound, but when confronted the bank they said this law has not been passed as of yet,are they telling the truth or is it just a ploy on there part to keep this charge, but if so how can other companys manage to get your money back from the banks if it was not true that they are breaking the law,,,,at the moment we have just incurred a penalty of £39 from the bank of scotland is this legal,,,eagerly await a reply,,,and once again hi everyone thanks alot george.
