I had a business account created with PC World I was under the assumption that it was a better deal from what the Head Sales Manager for their Business Section explained to me that I would be paying less however that turned out to be false information that was conveyed to myself and the way his smart mouth explained to me I could also purchase the equipment at the end of a 2 year period “For a fiver or a tenner when I made them an offer.” This however was not at all the case, it appeared to be simple and straight forward in the way I was explained to from the smarmy git. He also created a Fake Company name for me as I am not and never owned a Company, he said “it was very easy to do and I will setup a fake company as a “Sole Trader” for you they cannot check as if the Company is new there will be no records for the 1st year.“ When I called rent smart up and asked to make an offer for their peace of Kit I was told “Oh you need to be in store it’s the only way you can do it.” IE I was completely duped and scammed they will sell you the equipment for sure but they will sell it not for the above quoted by PC World Business Manager Sales Manager and it depends what you Purchase again under their Smart Plan in Store so if you intend to not or to Purchase something much cheaper you will not be getting a Bargain at all as described to you by their PC World Staff you will it seems remain in there grip for an eternity I feel conned and misled completely from this experience. After becoming unemployed and trying to keep up the payment plan I fell into difficulty and Rent Smart have been banging on £45 per month for late payments etc and the Monthly Requests for Payment are in excess of £100 now for a single Laptop Machine taken on the scheme which is about 2 and half years old. Is there anything at all I can do legally to stop this and what are my rights.

    Well I get the laptop back 7 working day's to there letter, 1 of the two Hard Drives replaced and there is no problem with the display according to them I'm "MAD." Granted they replaced the drive which was an 80Gig for a 100Gig, and guess what my pre-install is gone, not that I cared much for there pre-install as it sucked. A 64Bit machine running 32Bit Home Edition XP is not K00L "MAD" you ask why is he "MAD!" because the ass holes @ Mastercare neglected to re-image the Master Drive, they forgot to return the Notebooks Battery and to top it all off told me that it was not possible to ID the machines MOBO for my 64Bit Install? These "COWBOYS" yes that's what I said they are (RIP OFF Merchants) and have about as much skill as a jack ass.. Now I have a machine here with no Battery for my portable use and had taken half a day on the phone again trying to sort things out, oh and did I mention that there 0870 dial code is a profit sharing [problem] with BT? I guess I have to put it down to entirely bad luck and have learned a great deal from this experience.. never to purchase anything again from this group. There tech support LOL that was a laugh when I phoned for the MOBO ID I was told they could not tell me? And then was told (sir you can not install any other OS on these machines.) LMAO I had to have a laugh :-| then to make things worse adding more insult to injury "sir that driver you require for the MOBO is only available from the manufacturer you could always write your own." ROFL Well the machine is up and running with 64Bit now along with ubuntu Linux and I await the return of my battery. Please do not purchase anything from these idiots and rip off merchants, if you want good customer end user support I don't have a clue where to purchase a pre-build machine from but one thing for sure not these clowns.

    A bad experience, after purchasing a 17 inch HP Laptop/Notebook HP Pavillion 7 weeks old from Dixons I experienced upon the 1st operation at home a dead Pixel on the 17 Inch TFT Widescreen, later on about 3 day's I started experiencing other intermittent Pixels which where appearing randomly in several locations :o After 2 weeks usage these pixels began to get very troublesome and annoying when working in graphics on screen. 3 weeks had gone by when now I receive the pre-boot error message "Smart Failure Predicted On Hard Disk 1." Enough is enough, after spending almost 1600 UKP on this peace of unreliable "crap" I contacted the store manager where purchased, the response was "Oh sorry sir you have gone past your 28 day period." In other words no return no replacement or refund On contacting there support number the (Tech Guys) to be told that a collection by Courier would be made and the equipment repaired or replaced with in 7-10 day's. Well after waiting in for the Courier all day yesterday none show? I contacted them several times and they blame the Courier? Reply was "Sorry sir it's the courier thay have a problem today in your area, some one shall be there at 18:30 hrs to collect." 19:00hrs no Courier further phone call to Tech guy's, oh we are sorry sir can we book another day, yes I replied ok Wed 28th PM is that ok, I replied yes and what about the 2 day's loss of holiday that I have taken waiting for a Courier, oh sorry sir the Courier is beyond our control, today PM 15:00 Tuesday March the 27th Courier appears I mean what the hell are they playing at. Now I have booked another day of work for tomorrow loss of another day's holiday another day wasted. What the hell a can an individual do after such poor customer support? A peace of equipment that is failing so quickly and no consolidation regarding a complete replacement? What is going to happen to this poorly QC peace of crap in another couple of months. I'm very.. very **ssed off :-? A word of advice to anyone reading these personal experiences about such a rouge company is to stay well clear of them.
