Hi folks any advice welcome. I'm having some bother from Lowell.portfolio1 and now Red debt collection services, both the same company I believe. They refuse to believe I am not the person they are looking for, all they have done is a voters role check on my first initial and surname, they are abusive and refused to talk to my husband unless he was prepared to pay someone elses debt and also refused to accept that I am not the debtor. I'm in Scotland I know the law a little different from England. Trust me I am not the person they are looking for so any advice would be good thanks! These people are nasty!!!!!! Fred

Any advice on how to deal with Lowell and Red debt collection. I am not who they are looking for but unfortunately for me I have the same first initial and surname. They have tracked me on a voters roll check but refuse to believe I am not who they are looking for. They are a nasty bunch and apparently due to data protection act they could not discuss this matter with my husband but he could pay the debt also they insisted this was my debt IT IS NOT. When I called them they told me I had to pay BUT IT'S NOT ME and how can they discuss the debt with me when it's not me (data protection) Any advice welcome. Not used to this. Thanks
