  1. Before xmas I split with my partner of 4 yrs and because it was his house i had t look for somewhere else to live. While I was looking I stopped with my family in Bristol while there my friend found me somewhere to live. I came back to the town I live on the 7 january and had to saty in my ex partners house until I moved to the house Im in now which was 16 January2007 so was only there another week, things were going fine until 2 wks ago when I contacted the magistrates court over a fine that needed paying but i couldnt pay in full but they helped me with that. But they then informed that I had incurred another fine but because they had not had ay contact off of me they had passed it to Phillips Bailiffs and debt recovery. I explained to the magistrates court that i hadnt received any documents to do with ay other fine ( bascally my ex hadnt given me the letters) but they said i needed to contact philips because it is now in their hands and has been for 7 weeks! So I contacted Philips and when i did i had the shock of my life the debt has gone from £500 to £753.85 that was two weeks ago I cannot do their payment plan because it has to be paid over 10 weeks and as at 2 weeks ago a weekly payment would have been £73 a week I explained that I couldnt pay that and they said that they could not accept any other offer. Since 2 weeks ago the debt has gone up and they now say that i haveto accept a payment plan of £101 a week or the Bailiff will attend, in the last week they have sent sms messages to my house phone evryday telling me to contact them immediately so everyday i have contacted them and everyday its the same reply agree to the plan or bailiff will attend I am even getting text messages off of them everyday. yesterday the text said a Bailiff will attend your property today if you dont contact us immediately, so i contactd them and yet again same reply. I have paid some money off of it but am getting greatly stressed because i hve 2 young children and feel that i am being treated unfairly I dont havealot of money and do not know what rights I have or if there is any way around this, someone please help I need advice on this i have been told they can force into my house and take stuff if im not here and that is worrying as I o away this weekend to visit a sick family member who is important to me but I a worried about going now. Any Advice will be very greatly apprieciated Candysmate
