thats exactly what I have said to them, Im no longer using the car now (for fear of doing any damage) Im going to give them the choice to either put it right or a refund so I can have it sorted elsewhere, I wouldan't mind but this is the garage that I have always had my car's worked on never had any problems with them before, Phil

Hi thanks for all you advice but I don't seem to be getting anywhere with the garrage that carried out the work Im still being told it's because of the automatic tensioners and that I should do a 1000 miles for everything to settle down if the noise still persists after this they have said they will strip it down and see whats going on. I carn't really afford to have the work carried out anywhere else so im going to have to do the 1000 miles i just hope the belt does not snap in the mean time !!

Hi, Just wondering if any one can help Ive had the cambelt pulleys and tensioners changed by a local garrage a couple of months ago but ever since I have noticed a strange noise coming from the engine best way I can describe this noise is that I can hear the belt and pulleys turning (rattling) which when ticking over u can hear over the engine and radio which is rather annoying I have been back to the garage only to be told its perfectly normall because of the automatic tensioners but I know the car did not sound like this before the cambelt was done any advice would be appreciated. thanks Phil
