  3. Hello everyone , hope all is well i would like some opinins please, its now past the 40 day limit for my s&r and dispite that both banks (halifax and yorkshire) have acknowledged and taken my money still they return nothing. It seems i have two options. The comissionaire route seems the norm but is any one getting anywhere still with these. As i here there water logged with complaints, and now i hear of useing county court options which might be expensive , is this also too complicated anyone have any experience on these please help thanks:)

  7. hi everyone i`m trying to find head office numbers for halifax and yorkshire bank ive been of the forum for a few weeks because my hard drive died also does anyone know if theres a template for chasing up my s&r requests its coming up to the last seven days now and i have nothing:)
  8. Hi just got your message, im new to this so i can only give an opinion although today i sent an s&r to yorkshire at the same time i`m dealing with halifax.firstly If and when i recieve a defence from yorkshire i will not let it bother me the results of other people will keep me pressing on alone to me it would feel like their tring to scare me off with the thought of going to court, but how many banks have gone all the way as i understand it none that i know of they no there doing wrong.Lets say they go to court they lose they pay court fees and everything else but shurley now they have been convicted of breaking the law that would be a massive tarnish for a bank, and who`s going to be the first bank to risk it. As for the other info ive just read the paragraph youve read too and it sounds fine. But me personally i would keep it as short and simple as possible, fumbling on with lots of points may go against you if you say the wrong thing.I would put it to them that the penalty charges imposed on me are much greater than the cost of the corrections that had to made to my account because of simple human error, if the penalty equlled the cost of mry errors than i would gladly have paid. But the fact remains that the defence cannot produce any evidence which defends the high charges made against myself (i do have to stress that this is my person opinion towards this matter and further comments from others should also be looked at as they will have more experince at this stage) good luck yorkshire have always be a pain in the *&%$ keep pushing

  16. Hello everybody im here on behalf of my partner although i do get the ocassional bank charge myself she struggles more because she is on a small wage ive decided enough is enough today banks are fast enough at giving you the curtisy call when wanting you to take loans, move morgage, change visa or home and car insurance. why carnt they set up a warning system that gives you 24-48hrs notice that direct debits will be due and your balance is too low we all have busy lifes and we all forget from time to time whats coming out.even when we go over they dont call you to let you know they let you carry on unaware you bank account is massively in arrears.Today for example really annoyed me my partner went to the bank to find she had been charged by halifax £30.00 0n the 1st £30.00 on the 2nd and £30.00 on the 5th of this month for being over drawn that £90.00 is all she had left till she gets paid at the end of the month we have a two year old and my partners due any time now i help by paying everything except the shopping but now i have to find that somehow none of us need this right now its pathetic for a few pound and sometimes pence were being charged hundreds each year.I really hope someone can help please.
