  1. Hello, We thought we would start with these guys course we thought it would be easiest??!! Sent the information request letter 15th march 07 and got the charges info(nice easy read print out) back 20th april. Sent prem approach letter straight back asking for £8091.50 but got standard "40days to reply to your complaint bla bla". In the mean time we've spoke to them many times stating we don't want to transfer to barclays, lots of problems/confussion caused by woolwich customer service. We waited the 40 days then read your advice not to! but before i sent out LBA we suddenly get an offer of £5843.00:confused: (how did they get this amount) Anyway we are declining but i have a question or two: Can we decline offer in the LBA letter if we add the wording or does it have to be seperate? and they say that they disagree with us on the grounds of their terms and conditions but as they have transfered our account to barclays allbe it against our wishes and we've never signed anything for barclays are we bound by them?
  2. Thanks thats heplfull. we did send letters recorded one each to halifax and woolwich. we havent had anything back from the halifax so will send LBA . the woolwich on the other hand sent letter saying they would reply in 40 days which we duely waited (now having read some of this site was silly!!) Anyway they have made us an offer but not sure if we should take it? It's about 3k less than total but moneys tight. sorry waffling and wavering!!!!???
  3. Hello there, a newbe here. don't know if you've got this already but in our letter from the woolwich/barclays they said we could get terms and conditions on the following site haven't tried it tho; www.woolwich.co.uk/barclays.co.uk hope it helps and will have a look in paperwork for any others ( I'm a bit of a horder apparently?!)
  4. Hello, this is such a great site. We are hitting woolwich now barclays(wasn't that clever!) and halifax to start with as we are new to this and just reading other people's stories has kept us going!!! Couple of questions tho: :-? Since we sent Woolwich the Prelim Approach letter they (being woolwich and barclays both) have added £400 + in charges to our account. can we add this to our claim or should we right it off or claim for it seperately??? Also is it 14 working days (like the bank take when you want something!!) or a straight 14 calender days? ( like when they phone you at 8am on sundays and BANK HOLIDAYS????????!!!!) Sorry if these are daft questions but don't want to give them any ways to get out on a slip up we've made:rolleyes:
