  1. Yeah mine has been from this guy too... Kind of reassuring to know that they're saving money by bringing it in-house... That says to me that they were losing the cases, and bringing it in-house just limits the financial damage when they do! I'll check when my AQ deadline date is, and ring the court the day after to see that everything is ok... Any ideas on when a court date would be? Is it likely to be days, weeks, or months? Thanks a lot for your help so far. Its so nice to talk to people doing exactly the same thing.. It does a lot for the confidence!!!
  2. Yes but when I initially started with the claim, that was the website that I came across. I've only used it for a few ideas on what to write, and since I discovered this website I've been using it.
  3. Yes there are plenty of templates to help you out.. There should be some on here, although I haven't looked as I got mine from MoneySavingExpert: Consumer Revenge - Credit Cards, Shopping, Bank Charges, Cheap Flights and more Don't be nervous. Thousands and thousands of people have claimed, and are still claiming from their banks, and they're all winning! Get the ball rolling as soon as possible though!
  4. Hi people.. This is my first time posting on here so forgive me if this is the millionth time someone has asked for advice! I'm in the process (like thousands of others) of reclaiming my charges from Abbey. They total up to £4299.96 (including the statutory interest). I've gone through the whole process of asking for the money back, having a 'goodwill payment' put into my account (I wrote back to them explaining that I do not accept it as an offer of settlement under any circumstances, and got them to write to me saying the same), and I've received a solicitors letter saying that they will fully defend the claim, and conveniently offering a quick settlement of half of my claim (£2150). Strikes me as a bit strange that they offer to settle so quickly, even though they're confident that they're in the right :-| Now it's got to the stage where I've received a Court Allocation Questionnaire, and the case has been transferred to my local court. I've filled it in, paid the extra £100 court fee to have it transferred, and sent a copy of the questionnaire to Abbey so that they can see I mean business. And this is as far as I have got... I'm just waiting for a court date, or some further correspondance from Abbeys solicitors now. It's been almost 2 weeks since I sent the questionnaire back.. Has anyone else been in this situation, and what did they do? I'd be grateful for any advice
