Hello, i have recently recieved my BT Bill and it is huge! over £400 for the quarter. But there are items on the bill which i do not recognise and i have phoned BT to complain. I have been basically ignored by them and they demand payment anyway, what can i do now? Are there any letter templates on this site i can send to "suspend" or postpone paying this bill until i can sort this out, even with solicitors?

thanks for your reply guys, actually i am a broadband user and this happened while i was converting between dialup and my new broadband account way back in June this year. I also have never since kept my dialup modem plugged in. I have traced the company that charged me the premium number on my BT phonebill. The [problem] company is based in the UK. i found this site which may be useful to others here. ICSTIS Homepage Apparently they cover the 0871 based numbers (the real scumbags) in 2008 great... Anyway since i know the company to claim my money back from now, their a ltd company. What legal steps do i take to get compensated since this is essentially fraud. Thanks in advance guys:-)

Hi i have a BT landline and get charged from them each quarter. I recently got a bill from them and stated as a "special service" a £160 charge from a known rogue dialler number. What the hell can i do about this? i'm not going to pay for this and want to know what protection i have. I'm prepared to seek legal advice about this too. Is this UK milk us for all we've got PLC or what?

So do i need to send this Court form to capital one also? or just my county court? thanks edit: name of judge? i do not have a judges name to enter on this form! I did not even get to the court date set stage! help!

Hi, i have a bank account with HSBC and this has an overdraft facility, i am overdrawn and the bank has now passed the debt on to a DCA. I sent a letter to the DCA asking for a CCA but they wrote back and informed me this is not required for an overdraft! This can't be true!? Is this just more sneaky tactics on the part of the DCA bloodsuckers or is this a special case with overdrafts? Also what letter should i now send to this DCA Thanks

hi THIS WAS FOR A SINGLE TRIP EXCLUDING US/CANADA and the date of travel had NOT yet passed yet. I used the company sta travel and their inhouse travel insurer "blue" but i didn't realise if i used them that i was only covered if i booked through sta, which i wasn't! hence the need on my part to cancel when i booked this fact of the terms and conditions was not clearly evident. i sent an email to them but no reply and they still have my money, now what?

Hi, what can i do and (has anyone been here) to get my money back from the insurance company for a policy which i attempted to cancel within the 14 day window the contract allows? The policy is for travlling cover for one person and i had not travelled before i attempted to cancel it. Any feedbcak would be appreciated, is this just £56 down the drain and how can thet ignore me when i attempt to cancel? they can' do this surely? edit: i attempted to cancel becausei realised the policy did not cover me anyway,ridiculous, i consider this a misrepresentation advertising on thier website? can i make a case for this too. Hi, i have an old crap1 card (closed) and i have unlawful charges on it. the thing is i don't have the account # so i can't SAR them for this old card in the first place! ok so does anyone know how to get around this?

ahh, i did not SAR the credit card company just because of this matter, i am in the process of claiming back my charges, as i was searchng through i found a couple of dubious debits on my statements which i definately did not make myself.

hmm a transaction that is 2years old.. surely i can still have some rights over this?

hi there, heres my new thread about getting some £££ back from crap one SAR sent 8th March 2007 recieved 8th April 2007 total Claiming (Late payment fee and Overlimit Fees) £581 claiming contractual interest (might need a helping hand here guys!) ok so the first charge was back in oct 2003 which was £20 using contracual interest how much would they owe me since then? Hi, i'm considering on behalf of another to SAR or CCA BT from unlawful charges. Cn anyone help with where i can start with a procedure against BT? what charges can i claim back against BT? I know i have a claim for the direct debit charges isssue are there any other sneaky charges this company levies on the consumer?
