  1. Hi everyone I'm currently trying to claim on 3 current accounts ( mine and my husbands). My husband is self employed so thought I would try to claim on this account also. I received the statements today and the charges total £1760. I've just been reading some of the threads on claiming on a business account and it all seems a bit daunting compared to claiming on personal C/A's. We are in Scotland also which makes claiming that bit more difficult. Because of the above and the fact that my baby is due in 2 weeks time I am considering using one of these companies who do all the work for you. I'm not bothered about in getting interest costs back and I understand that this is what some of these companies take as payment? I would be grateful if anyone could recommend one of these companies or reassure me that claiming on a business account ( RBS btw) isn't much more difficult that claiming on personal accounts. Thanks Karen
  2. Thanks Alpha That was helpful. ( yes I am in Scotland ). I will do what you are doing and write a letter to Sandy Watt and then its just a waiting game I suppose? Good luck with your claim too. Karen
  3. Hi all Brief rundown so far: 02 Mar - sent first letter requesting statements 13 Apr - sent second letter claiming £2.7k 18 Apr - received letter stating RBOS 'considering claim' 30 Apr - sent LBA Originally I was planning to use an English address and claim via MCOL but I've now decided to go via FOS but unfortunately I haven't read much about going down this route. I haven't mentioned interest in any of my letters to the bank, does this mean I wont be able to add this on? When does the 8 weeks before I can complain to FOS start? Is it from the date of second letter? Should I be sending any letters to the bank informing them of my intention to contact FOS and adding interest to my claim? Thanks Karen
  4. I sent my LBA to RBS on 30th April ( claiming 2.7k approx). No response as yet so I'm getting prepared for the next stage. I've decided to go through MCOL and have hired an English address. I haven't looked through the full MCOL procedure yet but was wondering on what addresses to use. Should I use the nearest court and/or bank address to my English address or could I use the nearest county court instead ( Berwick I believe) and RBS main address in Edinburgh? Thanks Karen
  5. Hi all I am about to claim £350 from charges on my Halifax Visa Account and £346 on my Halifax current account. Brief summary so far: 02 Mar- sent first letter requesting statements 23 Apr - phoned/emailed customer services to chase up statements 30 Apr - sent LBA/failure to comply letter 04 May - received letter saying statements had been ordered 06 May - statements arrived As I have already sent a LBA can I go straight to the court stage now? Bearing in mind that Halifax are not aware of the charges I am requesting as I did not have the statements at that stage. Should I send them a letter with a list of charges? Also can I combine my Visa and Current account in the one claim as it is the same company? Thanks Karen
