  1. Rory, Many thanks for that. I'll add up and see what are prepared to offer compared to the amount I put down!
  2. Hi, I have just received a pad full of Debs statements after requesting them 2 weeks ago. i want to hi light all the interests an also the late payment charges. my question is can i reclaim for the late pyt charges? they are either £12 or £15 pounds. Plus i heard that the company can only charge you twice for late pyts, is this true? I ask because I have a late pyt charge on every statement i've recieved from Debs and this stems back to 2005!! as I kept asking them to change my pyt date and they refused so they got thier pyts but it was always late because I paid it when i got paid and they said my pyt date couldnt be changed from the 19th of each month - hence i was always in arrears and charged for a late payment.:?
  3. Hi, Many thanks for that. GE Money are a nightmare. Is there a template letter i can send to them located on this forum? ps: HH - Keep on at them, i will keep my fingers crossed for you. I didnt know about only charging you twice for a late pyt. I've had so many charges applied i've lost count!!
  4. Hi Many thanks fora reply, apologies for taking long to reply. I read the info on GE Money, that was very helpful. Could you let me know what the initial letter was that you sent first of all to GE Money, and do i need to enclosed a postal order for a certain amount. I do hope they reply speedily to me also!!
  5. Hi , Any advice wold be greatly welcome here. I entered into an IVA August 2005, which should last for 5 yrs. I am with Debt Free Direct - gulp! I was paying £293, which was fine for a couple of years until mid last year, I cut the pyts down to £150, i told them that i couldnt afford to send the full amount required for a period of time, plus my husband wasnt working for some of those months also, they were not entirely happy but had no choice, some money recieved was better than nothing at all, that was my view! I then started getting a bit despondant, they have never sent me any print outs of all the ptys i've made, some of the creditors were still writing me for pyts and DFD just said " just send us the letter when they write to you" , which i did for a bit then stopped. I seems so stupid on my part, but after reading the very minute, tiny words on the massive document they sent me, I am just purely paying for their admin fees, over £6,000, i havnt even touched the surface with paying off my creditors. Again i know probably stupid on my part but since last year October i cancelled my direct debit, I had a baby last October and i am currently on maternity leave with full pay until the end of March when my wages goes down significantly, to less than half for three months after that then i am on unpaid leave for the remaining 3 months. I know this sounds stupid but can i get out of this madness or have i totally messed it up by my payments? I took out this IVA as i was so desparate and its crazy i am still getting the creditors on my back for pyt, saying they havnt recieved anything at all. DFD got really annoyed wheni put he pyts down and i had to provide so much eveidence, even when we had to go abroad suddenly for a family funeral and i couldnt make the pyt that month i had to send in a copy of the plane tickets to prove we went away and what the values were! I even paid for that when i got back so it was only about 3 wks late but they insisted on seeing copies of the plane ticket. Unforunatly i didnt know about this site before taking out the IVA and havnt heard any good things about DFD since reading this site, its depressed me even more as they may say , I cant just back out of it just like that, most of these debts on the IVA are older than 5 years. Any advice please
  6. Hi, Could I request some help please? i have a Debs store card, which is about £2,000. I am currently paying between 50 -80 pounds a month, which is being eaten up in interest charges of approx £43!. i admit i have some late charges added, this because they have my payment date down as the 19th of the month and as i am monthly paid i'e told them on many occassions i cant make a payment until the end of the month but theysay they cant change the date , so come the 19th, they dont get thier money they add on a late charge an i pay at the end of the month and its still in arrears, i cant win. Is there any scope for me to reclaim the charges back? if so do you have a template letter i can send to GE Money? i've had this card for years and havnt used it for about 2 yrs as the pyts never seem to go down, the charges are astronmical . Any help will be really appreciated
  7. CONGRATULATIONS! I have only registered today and will be reading all the info before tackling the Woolwich. Can I just ask, how far back did you go to reclaim your charges? is there a certain time or can you go back to what ever you want to?
