  3. Don't worry about it. I sent mine to my local branch, but got a reply from Swindon Head Office.
  4. Hi, I once held a adams/creation card about three & a half years ago. Now, I know I was fined at least once for late payment. In all honestly, they never sent me a statement and I was very embarassed when I tried to use the card instore and they refused payment (due to the late payment). However, the account has now been settled over three years. I do not have any account details and have a zero chance of recovering them without a dpa letter. As this costs £10, and the fine was probaly only either £15/£20 is it worth me writing to creation complaining about the fine. Surely they'd try to fob me off saying they can not find any details of me! has anyone got a refund from creation? thanks for your reply CarlingMonstor
  5. Either way, cap one are fobbing you off. Call them and demand a chargeback.
  6. I know even if paypal freeze your account you can refund payments, as long as it does not push your acc into a negative balance. I've never used stormpay, but is it possible you can refund your own payment?
  7. This is quite bizarre. I got exactly the same text, except from a different person. It was from our very own Sarah Watson also mentioned above. However, she refunded me without me even threating legal action against nationwide. I know the amount wasn't anywhere near the amount your claiming but I still think it's a strange, perhaps they refund smaller amounts without question but try to argue on the higher amounts.
  8. I sent mine to my local branch & was refunded in about a week. However the reply I got was from hqs in Swidon.
  9. Yeah - I was a bit cautious about doing that, although it would make more sense. I just wanted to "dip my toe in the water" to see the reaction before I started on my crusade. Good luck with your claims too.
  10. Hi, Just had £60 worth of fees refunded with one polite request to my local branch manager. Although, it isn't a massive amount compared to some of the cases discussed in this forum it has certainly helped me. I haven't received a letter from nationwide yet, but have saw it credited to my account when I got a mini statement earlier & to be honest I did expect a letter from n/wide informing me of there fee structure, etc, with a polite no. So, thanks for everyone on the forum who has made a post to date. I think I read them all before I send the letter. Now, I'll try my luck with capital one bank. Stay lucky CarlingMonstor
