My bank recently decided to take back my business overdraft without warning and informed me in a meeting with my bank manager that i would have to take out a large loan to repay them. All this happened because i was given a rubber cheque by a client before christmas which did eventually clear in the new year. when i received my latest statement i noticed that over £800 had been taken from my account for the purpose of payment protection insurance, if i had been aware that i would be charged this then i would have told the bank to whistle for their money as i was not asked if i would like the insurance, they decided that for me.Does anybody know if i can ask for a refund as i know that i will not need to make a claim on their policy insurance.
