My partner left a Debt 10 years ago with Abbey National she has just started getting RED Debt. collection services sending her letters saying you must pay them now . She went to her solicitors to ask what they can do. The solicitor said nothing they can legally do now its too late but if they come to collect they can just walk in your house if the the door is unlocked this now makes me feel like I have to lock my doors always and a prisoner in my own home . What I would like to know if they walk in can they start to take Items or mark them for collection ? what are my rights do I arm my self and Hospitalise them as a warning to stay away that does make me feel better What are our rights please help.

Hello all this is my first time on here and start by asking my own question. I have cancelled my insurance with Norwich Union Direct because ten years with this company means nothing to them I found a cheaper company by £200 a year they said we cant match that so I said good by then. Then they told me there will be a £22 pound admin charge fore cancelling my insurance with them wich they did to me last year after my car failed the MOT so I had to take it off the road. Can they do this to me?
